    Pros

it was nice to work there. the regulars are always nice, co-workers were helpful and fun to be around, managers were fun and treated you like a person.

    Cons

Regulars are nice, but the rudest. Co-workers can get really mad when you seat them twice in a row. Sorry, I was helping them get tips. No communication between hostesses and servers, I'm not being paid to read your mind. If you need help or a break from tables tell me!. I'll do it for you.

    Advice to Management

Some need to stop being a jerk for no reason and next time you hire someone, don't lie to them saying you'll give them 5 days a week when in reality it was only 2 a week for a bout 5 hours each. No one can live on 7.50 an hour with only 10 hours a week.

I have been working at King's Family Restaurant part-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The management team certainly has not gone downhill at this location. The new owners are fair and have good ideas. The review by another former employee was written by a bitter unhappy person who was let go for cause.

    Cons

Bitter former employees with too much time on their hands. The restaurant has done nothing but improve and grow. It will continue to do so.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work and thank you for all that you do. For being understanding and hardworking. For "getting" us and having our backs.

    Pros

    Fellow employees were nice
    Nothing else

    Cons

    Unprofessional and disrespectful management
    Unsanitary environment

    Advice to Management

Management was always stressed and took it out on employees. When a customer was wrong, management would throw employee under the bus to the customer. Then tell the employee that THEY were right in private after customer left. They didn't appreciate a good worker. One time I asked a manager about my schedule and he told me to go away, then he comes to me later and takes me to the back dining room (where people can obviously hear) and yells at me that I shouldn't bother him about silly things. He was full on yelling, he was probably stressed about other things and taking it out on me. It doesn't excuse it. I just thing their is too much pressure on management to handle that they take pour care of there restaurants and employees. I worked in Crafton, PA then they closed. They didn't tell employees that they were closing until 4 days before the actual day. People who had worked there 30 years now had a week to go find another Kings. I went to Wexford, PA and it was the same things the only difference was it was slightly cleaner. They need to make major changes to this company for employees to be happy!

I have been working at King's Family Restaurant full-time

    Pros

Pay is pretty good (depending on location)

    Cons

Managers are pretty lazy (not all). Work alone most of the time.

    Advice to Management

Lose the power trip. We're all humans and some of us make about what you make. District managers need to listen to employees more about managers.
