I have been working at Kings County Hospital Center full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Opportunity to serve a poor community, and the staff is generally good and competent at what they do.

    Cons

I understand that you aren't going to get rich working for the government, but the pay is not even competitive taking into account the government employment. Also, basic management systems are a mess! Hiring and firing, and ordering supplies is often an adventure.

    Advice to Management

Fix HR. Now. There's a lot of other things that need to be fixed, but if you can't select and onboard people without issues, you're going to be in trouble.
