I have been working at Kings Creek Plantation full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Hard press to think of any.

    Cons

A lot of backstabbing. No paid holidays, must use accrued time . If you take a holiday off and not use your accrued time, you will not be paid for the holiday. Healthcare is very expensive, will consume 30% to 35% of your salary.

    Advice to Management

Stop micro-managing employee's. Cross-train employees to pick up the slack when another employee is out. Increase salaries so that an employee can afford health insurance. Have at least 4 paid holidays a year.

    Pros

Good people. Fun to be around.

    Cons

The company does not seem to have room in the budget for keeping their good employees in lower positions.

I worked at Kings Creek Plantation full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Some employees are friendly, decent people, work-life balance is easy due to slow business/few hours to work

    Cons

The management of this resort features 11 VPs. No stable company of this size has that many "leaders" and this institution makes it clear why that is. Those in charge use fear, harassment, and bullying to improve employee performance. The resort itself is poorly run, not well maintained, and offers sub-par service to their owners because they can get away with it. The owners will obviously have to come back or sell their timeshare for a small fraction of what they initially paid for it and the management of this property definitely takes advantage of that.

There is very little sense of community, as turnover is high and most employees are not managed well. One factor contributing this is KCP basically embodying moral corruption at every level that I witnessed. If their practices in selling timeshares are legal, they are just barely so.

    Advice to Management

The managers at KCP need training in how to be effective leaders. An example of strong work ethic (managers not leaving before their subordinates, managers exhibiting behaviors of taking short cuts in their jobs instead of doing them correctly) has trickled down and created a lazy work force.
