Good people, no desire to take care of their fanbase content-wise

Alright work environment and people.
Cons
One has to wonder if anyone is even interested in competitive game balance or content with a shred of innovation. Lack of creativity is suffocating.

Great people, lots of talent, too much meddling from the top
Feb 13, 2018 - Game Designer in Austin, TXRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Lots of talent, very friendly work environment, decent work/life balance. There were some very fun employee days, although those started to become less frequent.
Cons
Not enough trust from management and ownership, employees not empowered to go above and beyond, limited advancement.

Pros
Fair wages if you have experience and knowledge. Fairly accommodating work environment. Management structure is easy to follow - not a lot above us in the pipeline. Tools and equipment are sufficient - we don't need super computers to develop our projects anyway. Fun days are a plus. OT is kept at a minimum. Privately owned by someone who actively plays games and loves to keep on top of the trends.
Cons
Biggest gripe - Producers tend to push work they should be doing down the line to the dev team. More on this below. Occasional noise pollution among the larger groups they put in the same space. PTO is lumped into one chunk - being sick for most of your PTO can be a drag when you actually want to use time for something fun later.

Pros
Great friendly work environment. Fun days, collaborative projects and creativity fostered. Upper management very approachable. Constantly working to improve all current projects and push the bar forward in new directions. Low turnover and virtually no layoffs. A very stable company that is extremely family friendly. Good bonus structure and benefits.
Cons
Different experience being contract versus full time. Sometimes it can be confusing to see a direction of a project due to many things not being communicated past upper management.
