I worked at Kinross Gold full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great group of people. Corporate teams are always ready to support. Site teams have very strong safety and operational culture.

    Cons

Too much freedom for the sites. Corporate could be more demanding so that standards accross sites are stronger.

    Advice to Management

Operate sites as a portfolio not as collection of separate entities.

I worked at Kinross Gold as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

Their safety and they're layout of rules and equipment it's just top of the line I feel safe prepared and professional working here

    Cons

That they're mine in Alaska it will be shutting down in the near future but there are more. Also they're hiring through temp agencies and I've been a mother since 2008 work for them loved it went to school and graduated from processing Tech in welding and mine operations and we're still referred for hiring is through usually a third party company so more time just invested sometimes I just like to know when it's good

    Advice to Management

Just know that you guys are on top of it and you lead with very great experience. But I would contact me because I have one or two really great ideas that could save your company a lot of money. And it's not just hiring me there are two ideas I think after working out there I'd like to share with you
