I worked at Kinvey part-time for more than a year

      Pros

I was given a lot of flexibility and autonomy to complete my job, while still being supported by my manager and team. Kinvey has hired a great team of people who are smart, curious, and eager to create great work. It was fun to be a part of this exciting space of technology.

      Cons

It is hard to think of anything, but I will say this is a start up. Someone who works here needs to be flexible to change and be able to keep up with speed of their fellow employees with out getting flustered or frustrated.

      Approves of CEO

I worked at Kinvey full-time for more than 3 years

      Pros

Great product, great team. Very smart engineering group, with enough autonomy to get the job done.

      Cons

Enterprise sales are incredibly difficult. They're time consuming and complicated.

      Advice to Management

      Keep doing what you're doing.

I have been working at Kinvey full-time

      Pros

      - Great people - Good culture - A fair amount of games / fun to be had in the workplace - Transparency (see cons) - Complex product

      Cons

      - Extremely difficult product to sell (what makes it different from our competitors?) - Unclear goals from management - Nepotistic hires - Being held accountable for failures of other teams - Sales not hitting their numbers - Late game pivots to appeal to different market segments - A complete lack of transparency in the year 2016 - Brain drain (senior people leaving the company at an alarming rate) - Management...

      Advice to Management

Stop hiring friends / family of the CEO and hire people that are competent / sure of themselves. DLC's are not a good enough differentiation from our competition, we need to stand out in price, value, or something else. Sales is being crippled by trying to sell something that's never been delivered on. "Zero code" anything has never been a reality and when we try to sell it, it raises all kinds of red flags for the...

I have been working at Kinvey full-time for less than a year

      Pros

Full agile workflow, great (macro) management, cutting edge software stack, leaders in their field, awesome culture and great organization overall. Management is supportive and influential, as opposed to demeaning and overbearing.

      Cons

There's nothing that comes to mind. These guys have it figured out

      Advice to Management

      Keep it up!
