    Pros

Pay was good, friendly co-workers-noticed this the first day of employment from everyone in the plant. You could tell they actually cared.

    Cons

Worker morale has gone downhill the past 2 years big time. Management seems to have forgotten what got them where they are. Sorry to say this, but the future does not look very bright for this company if current trends continue.

    Advice to Management

Get back to what made this company great in the first place. Greed will come back to bite you every time.

I have been working at Kinze Manufacturing full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Company is great when it comes to innovation and change. Engineering and purchasing are probably the 2 strongest parts of the company.

    Cons

Senior leadership has changed a lot over the last 2 years. Programs have been cut and layoffs have begun. Company is going downhill fast.

    Advice to Management

Instead of worrying about how the company looks to the general public and spending lots of money on appearances, try worrying about the people who actually care about the work they do everyday.

    Pros

Very good employee managment communication, and great pay!

    Cons

Very much tied to the up and down agriculture market.

    Advice to Management

Make a more diverse product line.

I have been working at Kinze Manufacturing full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great benefits good pay and the people who work on the floor are for the most part friendly and nothing less than a pleasure to work with.

    Cons

Management threats the workers like children not adults. Continually preaching the company core values and not backing them up on their end ď

    Advice to Management

Stop with knee slap reactions to issues with your employees. You have a lot of good people who will go that extra mile to insure your success. Look at the big picture and rebuild the pride, trust and faith your employees are quickly loosing.
     Don't be a dysfunctional company!

I worked at Kinze Manufacturing full-time

    Pros

Very open management focused on moving the company forward. HR department is very open to discussions and improvements.

Engineering, marketing and manufacturing is very focused on innovative approaches to the agricultural industry.

    Cons

Commute can be taxing for some based on their relatively rural location. Can be a bit of emergancy based projects at times or moving targets for engineers.

A quickly growing company often comes with growing pains but kinze does have a focus to solve those difficulties.

    Advice to Management

Finalize processes, project management techniques and standards to really flow innovation better. I will say that kinze was making great strides in this when i left and i am sure that they have built well on those improvements.

    Pros

Pay is good. Hours are good for some. 4 days/10 hours per day

    Cons

Heavy, pushing, pulling, and lifting. Poor ergonomics. Really hot in the summer. Dirty environment. Poor house keeping. Office personnel are treated like royalty, while the production workers are beat down. Lots of favoritism across the board. Benefits aren't that great.

    Advice to Management

Quit wasting money so you can make a profit, and get back to the ethics that made the company worth something.

    Pros

The Kinzenbaws are some of the most generous people I've ever met. They continue to re-invest on the business, in the technology and in the lives of employees year after year. The best part about the family owned company is that it started with humble beginnings rooted in a Midwestern work ethic. The air is still the same today; if you work hard, then you can play hard. Even starting with a limited agriculture background is not stopping me from falling in love with the industry and finding myself proud to be a part of a team that makes products that help feed the world.

    Cons

Leadership can be intimidating when first getting to know them. It is important to break the ice with good work and trustworthiness. A simple equation to earn respect from a manager, a director and the owners.

    Advice to Management

Remember that employees are bound to make a mistake once in a while. However, the right employee will never make that same mistake again.

I worked at Kinze Manufacturing as an intern

    Pros

It is a good culture and the people are enjoyable to work with most of the time. They have a great co-op/internship program and get exposed to a lot of areas within your respective department. Kinze is growing quickly adding new buildings, products, and jobs. Great place to start a career.

    Cons

Company is pretty flat and not too much room to move up. It seems they hire their senior leadership from outside the company verses promotion.

I worked at Kinze Manufacturing full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Very good benefits. Excellent physical work environment. Challenging projects and opportunity to be somewhat creative.

    Cons

Very limited growth potential. Family OWNED, not family ORIENTED. Located in very rural area. Very high non-manufacturing employee turnover rate. Extremely high risk relocating. Employees routinely terminated with little or no warning.

    Advice to Management

If Kinze is to survive, it desperately needs experienced and professional executives. If not, it will either go out of business or end up an AGCO or CNH subsidiary within ten years.
