    I worked at Kior full-time

    Pros

Terrible communication skills. Lack of funds make any chance of advancement impossible. Good lab techs terrible PhD's they have no idea what is going on or basic chemistry. I worked there 3+ years never saw any improvement.

    Cons

Everything is a con. The management is a con. Run don't walk away.

    Advice to Management

Learn to appreciate people in lower level positions.

I have been working at Kior full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Kior has been a very good place to work for the most part. I have been taken care of by the plant manager and have received small raises at least once a year since I started here in 2009.

    Cons

there are not really any bad points to mention, but they could work harder on taking care of those people who have remained loyal the longest better.

I have been working at Kior full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

KiOR is the pioneer in the bio-fuel production. As far as I know KiOR technology is ahead of other company in the field. All projects require non-linear thinking and creative solutions. Nothing has been well-documented for bio-crude analytic techniques. Job itself is very interesting.

    Cons

As start-up company KiOR could use more confidence in tomorrow. There is no stability. Yo can't plane years even months ahead. Projects, priorities, applications are changed too often.

I worked at Kior full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Cutting edge company looking to advance biofuel technology in our lifetimes. Fantastic working environment (the best I've been in personally), fair wages, and challenging. Room to grow and supportive of individual employee best interests.

    Cons

Most of the positions are shift work and most of the shifts run short-staffed, so scheduling or coverage can sometimes be tricky.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great work! Especially when considering new hires, keep the high standards of character. It seems to serve your company well.
