    Pros

    Seven days on seven days off, you work half the year. Everyone at kirby corporation is so friendly and so far best job I've ever had

    Cons

    Waking up real early has been rough but it's so worth it

    Wish I would have come to work years ago for kirby.a true family oriented company.

    Only thing is health insurance is basic.united healthcare

    Pros

    Training is the best
    Lots of room for advancement when business is good.

    Cons

    When business is bad there is no room for advancement
    Can't get raises or training to move up in the pay scale.

    Advice to Management

    Stop babying there new employees

    Pros

    Awesome benefits, medical insurance, pension, advanced holiday time. Great starting salaries. There some very high quality individuals who work with this company so you don't have to worry about getting along with coworkers.

    Cons

    Work for very long periods of time. Sometimes up to 1 month away from home. It can be difficult on family life.

    Keep a safe work environment

    Great location. Its a public company with a private company feel. The people that you work with are very nice.

    Cons

    Lack of recognition, very little room to move up. The pay could definitely be a lot better.

    Good benefits, potential is there for advancement, variety of different careers to choose from. Company provides excellent training and facilities.

    Cons

    The good ole boy network is in place that prevents advancement to those most qualified. Promotions and chances for advancement based on who you know and not what you know. Poor work life balance.

    Keep your promises.
