    Pros

I've read most of the reviews on Glassdoor, and while I completely understand where most of them are coming from, I also think they're somewhat misguided. Mind you, this is coming from a Shop Director who opened one of the first shops in the US and recently found out my shop will be closing soon.
-Personally, this company has given me the opportunity of a lifetime--to run an entrepreneurial business with guidance and support--and one in which my livelihood is not at stake (thanks Wilson family!)
-The pay, benefits, and other perks (connecting with local heavy hitters, free product, free meals, opportunities to plan events, positive work environment, Landmark) are absolutely incredible. I know people who work for high-end designers who are not compensated as well as we are. For all members of the shop team, this job is relatively cushy. I understand that this may differ on a shop-by-shop basis, but generally speaking
-If you work hard and demonstrate strength in a particular area, you will absolutely be rewarded--with opportunity to excel in that area. Sometimes that leads to a promotion depending on what roles are available in your area. But in my experience, hard work doesn't go unnoticed. I was given several opportunities outside my job description that gave me the opportunity to go above and beyond and truly let my colors shine through. While I haven't been promoted, I consider those experiences not only resume builders, but growth drivers.
-You will learn and grow exponentially. Just the sheer amount of product and operational knowledge needed to be on the team can feel daunting--but if you're motivated and sharp, you'll get the hang of it!

    Cons

-The restructuring was difficult and not handled well in many instances. While business is business and there's no such thing as job security, the layoffs left many teams running too lean, and they eventually had to re-hire.
-Landmark shouldn't not be required--if HQ simply took away that verbiage, I think it would remove a lot of the negative "cult-y" stigma around Landmark and also make people more prone to go in general as it's a paid-for trip.
-HQ should've been clear from the get-go that brand showrooms would have temporary leases. HQ acts like this was the case all along, but there wasn't actually transparency around this topic.

    Advice to Management

Our new President, Wendy, shows all the signs of being an incredible, transparent, truly Level 5 Leader--which is absolutely what we need now.
As an SD, I know it would be beneficial for my team to know that accountability/feedback goes both ways. It would be great if the team could have a quarterly or semi-annual touch base with DDs to give feedback on SDs/HQ/general shop ops.

    Pros

One of the biggest pros of the company at the time was that they really wanted to empower the employees to ingrain the retail locations into the local culture of the city they were located in.

    Cons

The company culture was all over the place and priorities and vision changed on almost a monthly basis.

    Pros

The company contributed to their employees growth via helpful workshops, shop events etc.

    Cons

Communication throughout the company was poor, as well as HQ's response to feedback.
The concept is too ambiguous and the price point is too high.
