    Pros

Flexible hours, nice location. Many activities for the employees. The owner is accessible if you need to talk to him.

    Cons

Salary and the vacation not the highest around but still relatively decent. The office furniture is kinda old.

    Advice to Management

To continue in that direction, very good overall. Maybe time to upgrade some furniture to make the daily work a little better.

    Cons

Most of Management left in late 2014 early 2015. Current management is incompetent and incapable of finding a job somewhere else.

    Pros

    Many technologies to learn,
    Great work-life balance,
    Great people to work with

    Advice to Management

Don't wait for a perfect solutions that are launched so late (like the sms alerts.)
Also, focus on few key aspects of the projects. Innovation is good, but you should limit it to the capacity.

    Pros

Great Staff on every Level of the Company, you truly feel on a family company,
This company will give you opportunities even on fields you have no experience, once you are in they will give you a chance if that is what you want.
I have worked with them for almost 4 years and all my Kudos! to the HR department, you will always face challenges and different situations in any company, but knowing that the HR department is there for you it is simply priceless!, they will really go on and beyond as they state,
If you have Kids this is the place to work as well, I had the best direct boss ever, always very understanding on this regard and in many occasions I was able to work from home to take care of my kids,
The owner is very down to earth and generous in the bonus program when the company does wel!l, you just need to hear him addressing the company once, and immediately you understand why the great camaraderie in the company,
Directors are unbelievably opened to sit and talk to you about your personal challenges in the company (I know that first hand as I discussed extensively with them when I faced challenges and they were actually addressed),

    Cons

Career opportunities can be limited in a few departments, however I believe this is about to change as the company is showing great business growth in the last few months.

    Advice to Management

I can only think of one Manager in particular that has not rewarded employees based on performance, this is crucial to keep passioned employees motivated, then again I believe this is a case of 1 Manager among at least 6 or 7,

    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Kitco Metals full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Some people are friendly
    Free coffee
    Closed on weekends
Located in the heart of downtown Montreal

    Cons

Lots of politics, gossiping, back-stabbing etc
The free coffee doesn't taste good
They play favorites, ignore any other person's opinion
There used to be benefits, but the took them all
They promote the backstabbers, lots of mistrust
Very secretive about everything. Problem communicating information between departments
Can't talk about salaries, HR will try to screw you over
Little job security, very volatile industry
I have had ideas and credit stolen from me
Company divided in groups, do not work as a cohesive team
Weak leadership, CEO wont even look at you
    Authoritarian environment
And I know that the very positive reviews here were written by HR

    Advice to Management

You know it's ok as for the people doing their jobs their opinions, and to actually listen. It makes the company stronger. Stop playing aristocrats VS plebs.
