    I have been working at Kiwi.com full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Even tho Kiwi is corporate now, you can still feel the sense of startup. We are family after all.

    Cons

    The position of a travel consultant can be very frustrating sometimes.
    Kiwi changes and grows very quickly, therefore you have to be ready for many changes and Kiwi has to work on change management.

    Advice to Management

    Please, work on internal communication and change management.

    I worked at Kiwi.com full-time

    Pros

    Somewhat reasonable work from home policies for engineering

    Cons

    No room for improvement. The company mostly hires junior, underpaid developers.
    The juniors come from abusing the goodwill of existing Kiwi.com engineers, by letting them volunteer their own free weekend time for "Python Weekends", workshops where people are taught Python to then be hired by Kiwi.com.
    Too much bureaucracy for no clear reasons.
    Lack of transparency from a business POV.
    Handled like a family, people have careers because they know people, not because they're good.

    Although the focus is probably to be a big name in travel, I can confidently say I don't see it happening.

    Advice to Management

    Value your people.
    You aren't a snowflake. It's only gonna be a matter of time people realise this is no longer a startup, but a corporate where having your own thoughts is not encouraged.
    Once you embrace that and realise you cannot sell the startup mentality anymore to your employees, I hope people will be less disappointed as their expectations will lower.

    Pros

    Wonderful people from all over the globe, stylish modern offices, innovative culture, dog friendly, free fruit and refreshments, genuine opportunities for career progression, great company parties, approachable and smart CEO and C level who genuinely care about the company

    Cons

    Still growing and learning as a company so not all processes are perfect yet, 4 weeks holiday, working conditions dependent on role and department.

    Advice to Management

    Systems and processes within CS and orders need to keep being improved to match the brilliance of the technology that drives the website. Customer experience and retention could be improved, as well as handling times being reduced, with CRM to replace the current tools used. Good luck for the future, it was a pleasure to work for the company and be part of the journey for over 2 years. Happy 6th birthday!

    Pros

    If you are from other country DON´T go there.

    Cons

    Enviroment here sucks and salary is low for Brno. Especially CS/BO are super tracked even bathroom brakes. Countless managers constantly creating some crap that everyone knows wont work. People are bulliet for not following that and in few months this process is gone and create another crap. Rest of company is looking at you with despect. Countless promisess just minor change important stuff without improvement.

    I worked at Kiwi.com full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Fantastic people and colleagues;
    - Spares no expense for company parties;
    - Social activities and initiatives;
    - Very good and extensive training;
    - Great atmosphere in the office: young, multicultural, very chilled and not corporate at all;
    - Friendly and nice HR department;
    - Nice-looking office;
    - No more night shifts!

    Cons

    - The new workforce tool makes little to no sense;
    - Salaries should be higher, esecially for foreign language speakers;
    - Only 4 weeks of paid holidays;
    - A lot of confusion in general sometimes in why processes are changed, removed or implemented, and KPIs anways change;
    - The Customer Suport department is treated as the scum of the comany, or that's the feeling sometimes;
    - Some promotions are still made "under the desk";
    - Promises are not always be kept;
    - The policies are not that customers-oriented like it used to be;
    - Quality scorecards are, for some reason, given more importance than the actual work and the customers' hapiness.

    Advice to Management

    - Try not to hire external people for responsibility roles: promote your most valuable employees and make them feel that they're really important;
    - Listen more to your employees and try not to giive them the usual "standard" answers;
    - Be more transparent in the internal recruitment processes.

    I worked at Kiwi.com full-time

    Pros

    Very fast growing company with a Silicon Valley vibe;
    Interesting industry (Travel) and will to disrupt it.
    Young founder and management;
    Nice office;
    Good tech devices.

    Cons

    The company is based out of Brno (Czech Republic), so be prepared for that; Kiwi.com has grown so fast in the past years that it's probably grown too fast - leaving off the table the interest for the employess, focusing only on money.
    (Speaking of which, they might be looking for selling the company - just fyi)
    People are promoted based on friendship and not real value.
    Very high turnover rate.
    Salaries are low (but it's also Czech Republic, so it's normal).
    Perks of nice office are not always what they look like - e.g. fresh fruit brought in once a week disappears after 5 minutes.
    Overall, good experience for sometime if you're already based in Brno, but I wouldn't recommend moving just for a job at Kiwi.com

    Advice to Management

    Focus more on people satisfaction and career advancements. Place better people manager in top positions - companies are made of people and you need them to be satisfied if you want them to stay.

    I worked at Kiwi.com full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - It used to be friendly and nice environment but even that faded away
    - One pro can be that it can truly teach you how bad can a job get

    Cons

    - way below average salary, no increase even after few years
    - absolutely no way to get promoted if you are not friends with management. Promotions in this company have nothing to do with skills.
    - you do not feel as a person, you only feel as a number in excell sheet
    - the most horrible shiftplan I have ever seen, they really plan your shifts on the verge of what is still legal
    - unprofessional management who lacks any relevant people skills, they will lie to you 24/7 that you are next in line for promotion just to keep exploiting you

    - while I was working there, I was forced to write a positive review here, so my guess is that 90% of the positive reviews here are not sincere

    Advice to Management

    Stop treating employees like garbage and maybe most of them will stop running away in probation period. Also it isnt 2010 anymore, so the salaries you pay should not be as well.
