    I worked at Kline & Company full-time

    Pros

Kline has some great people to work for there. You can learn a lot if you're starting out there early in your career.

However, if you have an offer from a big, MNC consulting company, I'd recommend taking that over a job with Kline.

    Cons

Some managers are monsters, in particular, the one that's a board member, but keeps changing areas from cosmetics to current consumer products head.

    Advice to Management

Don't keep poor managers/partners around just because they've been there for a long time. It's bad for the company and especially the employees.

I have been working at Kline & Company full-time

    Pros

Friendly staff and easy going atmosphere

    Cons

The company does not have structure and they do not make well-informed business decisions. Management will not add any value to your job, there is no room in this company for growth. Use the fact that this company has 2 stars to your benefit and save yourself some headaches.

    Advice to Management

Be aware of who is actually doing the work and who is not. Also really get to know the people managing your employees and how they "manage". They might not be bringing value to the roles.

I worked at Kline & Company full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

A few smart people (that doesn't include me or the senior management) and opportunity to work with smart client team

    Cons

Unprofessional environment, As a result, several smart people left a while ago, smarter people are smart enough to not come to Kline
    No industry or functional expertise
Those left in the company wouldn't find another job elsewhere
    No CAREER path

    Advice to Management

Consulting staff is your asset, they go home at the end of the day and you need to treat them well to have them return the next day energized.
New senior management team to bring new ideas for growth

    Pros

Provides opportunities to work with C-Level clients on interesting and challenging projects in an international / multi-cultural environment. A "small family" atmosphere where everyone cares about the job that they do and helping each other succeed. Great training programs and continued education, long-term career path.

    Cons

Not a huge company so lots of multi-tasking, deadlines can be high pressure and sometimes there is a lack of internal resources. Business can be unpredictable, extreme highs and lows. Many home and virtual offices in different countries make communication a challenge.

    Pros

The office location is very accessible, some of people in the office are smart and friendly, and a day of home office is granted after the six month trial period.

    Cons

    - The company is run by unqualified "industry managers/project managers/leaders" with no leadership in a very "pyramidal" way and who seem to be more worried about praising themselves (especially the consumer and energy projects) rather than encouraging to the lower ranks (analysts and researchers),
-Their projects are really just a copy-paste from information found in other websites (and from other market research companies)
-Promotions are done based on how you get along with the manager (and likewise the projects are evaluated),
    - The research methods are outdated and full of flaws, including the project management methodologies,
-There is no personal privacy and there is too much gossip,
    - You end up working a lot of unpaid extra time, especially if you are an analyst or researcher,
-They have insolvency problems very often.
    - All the professional and smart people leave very often.

    Advice to Management

For a company which has been operating for 50+ years, it is very shameful to be having so many flaws and the way you treat your greatest asset which is your employees. Pay them decently and compensate their time and effort. You may have 90% of the company as "managers"but does not mean these people are qualified to be leaders.

I worked at Kline & Company full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Chance to interview clients who truly value your career path and a home office day after 6 months of trial period (at least in the Prague office).

    Cons

Very political and "old guard"environment, the consumer team managers are always looking to praise themselves and dump all the work load on the analysts/researchers, instead of getting more involved for what is best for the greater good. You will work long hours, get underpaid, and have no recognition, the projects are done always from scratch, the market research methods outdated, and very slow and disorganised project feedback.

    Advice to Management

Do not discourage employees who want to have big dreams and take interest in your direct reports personal career goals and help provide guidance on how to make it to the next step in your career path. Treat the analyst the same way as a client because as of lately you can't keep a happy employee, without happy employees you will not have the staff to get the client work completed.
