WOW! Best employer I’ve ever had

      Pros

During Covid, the owners really showed leadership and how much they care for all their employees. They kept in touch through weekly voluntary zoom town halls to answer any questions with HR and all corporate present to answer questions. Everyone is always helpful and treat everyone with respect. That’s true leadership. 10/10

      Cons

Some people don’t like to work overtime but that’s part of the job. They environment is not for everyone, it does get loud, people win or lose but that’s also part of the job.

      Pros

Like with any job and tenure, you start to establish this "employee" mindset. Don't let it affect you or give role confusion to your identity. The gaming and casino industry is an unspoken place to wash money- I think most people either don't understand this or are taught to turn the other cheek. That is largely what you will do here, being employed by deep sea investments. You look pretty and let the games continue. The best will overemphasize their importance and watch you to a T, even after you've been commended for great work ethic. It's just the nature of the business, and the leadership mentality. Training and advancement will provide for the most intellectually stimulating aspects of the job. The rest is the grind, hence the turnover. It's the best job for the money and consistency and the safety/predictablity. But don't fall trap to false support. Know who is really on your side and who just needs a body on the table. If you are offered advancement, ask for reasonable timelines to attain your goal. Covid aside, the casino doesn't really operate on a set timetable and nor does the opportunities for advancement. That can be both good and bad.

      Pros

Easy and repetitive job. Benefits are average. PTO.

      Cons

Pay is low especially for California. Boring job. Difficult to get promoted. Do not accept any "temporary" transfers to a different location unless the commute time is shorter.

Great Job, Good Benefits, still needs improvement

      Pros

Great base pay, higher than most in the Bay Area. Great and lowcost healthcare benefits. Opportunity to make more money by learning more games. Flexible scheduling $2 hour night shift differential from midnight to 6 am. Plenty of opportunities for overtime.

      Cons

Long shifts and low staffing are a prevalent issue. Sometimes, you will be stuck on a table until you can be dismissed (pushed). During the pandemic at least, covid compliance of customers is almost entirely up to the casino. Lots of issues with crowding.
