I worked at Knology full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The team members that didn't live to create drama; frequently catered lunches: special events

    Cons

Politics rules in this company; management doesn't really take issue resolution seriously. While I enjoyed some aspects of working for this company, there was so much unresolved drama, that it made it difficult to enjoy being at work. Definitely influenced my and my coworkers desire to pursue personal developent within this organization.

    Advice to Management

    Team building please!!

I worked at Knology full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The benefits are OK but getting more expensive in time.

    Cons

Personal and vacation days accrue and are hard to take off if you have no seniority. Holidays you get a few calls and they ask you to leave and you get no pay. Too many calls that have nothing to do with your department during high call volume. Too many technical problems.

    Advice to Management

Management is hardly around and not at all supportive. Raises are a joke.

I worked at Knology full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

If you can read a script, you have found your home. Not a challenging job.

    Cons

Pay is too low compared to competitor's pay scale. Benefits are not inexpensive. Moving up the ladder is very difficult. Everyone is more concerned about numbers than about people. Expect to have your lunch at 10:30 am. if you are a new employee. Not enough new computers for all the employees. People leave the company constantly.

    Advice to Management

Happy employees are more productive and loyal employees.

    Pros

Immediate managers and supervisors are excellent; benefits are very good; laid back atmosphere; great coworkers who are willing to help out.

    Cons

Low pay in comparison to average industry salaries; Knology hires externally instead of internally too often; very little room for upwards mobility.

    Advice to Management

People work to make money and have the opportunity to advance their careers. If you are not going to do both, then at least focus on one. I enjoyed working at Knology, but it only took me one year to realize that I was not going to stay. When you have employees who have served Knology for 5 - 6 years, yet they are still in their same position, making only slightly more than those coming in the door, then you are not going to lose those who are looking for careers.

    Cons

The pay is not good, company has no loyalty to dedicated to employees, the benefits are not good either. Leadership is lacking

    Advice to Management

local call center management should be more hands on with employees and the day to day business of knology. This would boost moral
