    Pros

Opportunities to do a lot of tasks that reach far beyond your area of assignment and expertise.
Smart colleagues dedicated to making a difference

    Cons

Human Resources team is a group of people hand selected based on previous working relationships. They guard their brand of culture, even when it means doing the wrong thing for the organization.

Engagement is a term that is flung around but no real commitment to improvement of employee engagement. Just fear-mongering so that people no longer complain.

    Advice to Management

Don't let rising stars go just because the appetite has changed.

I worked at Knowledge Universe full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Really liked my co-workers and the pay at the time was above and beyond what I'd seen for basic call center grunt work.

    Cons

Don't expect to see your manager, ours worked two floors above us and only ever came down if someone screwed up or if she was required to attend a meeting we put on for ourselves. HR doesn't discuss issues with you, they simply fire you without cause (it is an at will state after all). You will encounter brown nosing backstabbers only there to kick others under the bus so they can climb the corporate ladder.
Anyone above entry level is out to get you.

    Advice to Management

You should communicate with your employees and work with them day to day. If there is something wrong in a person's performance you should tell them, not fire them without any write up. Don't let people suck up to get a promotion. And for heaven's sake please stop pretending to care about "children" when you charge far above and beyond what average families can afford, you're letting parents go to the poor house so they can have KU watch their kids while they work two jobs to pay for day care. It's shameful!

    Cons

Lack of leadership in some areas of the business. Lacking basic processes and procedures. Lacking strategy and clear direction at times.

    Advice to Management

Invest in your people, develop your employees from the top down. Assess and evaluate your processes.
