Good work/life balance and flexible hours.
Cons
Working atmosphere was horrible. Benefits were horrible (no free beverages of any kind, healthcare was unaffordable, no 401k match). Salary was horrible. Constant layoffs. Priorities constantly shifting.

In 2018 we moved into our new home at Rochester Technology Park and now have an open-concept office space with numerous employee benefits like free coffee, gym space, and a micro-market for food and beverages. We will continue to develop our employees and business objectives for the future.

One big cluster of poor decision making
Oct 23, 2016 - Middle Management in Rochester, NYRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Work life balance, select coworkers who care made you temporarily think management would actually do what they said they were trying to do.
Cons
Constant lip service. Constant. We heard from management regularly how we are evolving, changing yet it all stayed the same. Down to the stale, management methodologies brought over from its failed mother brand, Eastman Kodak. If anyone is reading this review and considering a position here ask yourself this: why does HR or PR respond to each of these reviews? So they can add their own color to the negative comments to make you think they actually are listening? Trust me: they are not. They spend their day spinning media messages, NONE of which are true. To those people still working here, get out. There is a big blissful, happy world outside. You'll soon find you can actually DRINK the water (unlike the water in the building- true story)

Well you are correct that we do respond to all reviews, both positive and negative as Glassdoor recommends… we do so to provide another perspective to those readers who may be considering a position at Kodak Alaris. We have tried to point out where we as a company still have work to do and areas where we are making progress that may not be visible to the individual who submitted the review. We are here, we are listening, and we are providing this feedback to our senior leaders – they are interested to know what current and former employees are saying so they can continue to implement strategies to transform the businesses. - Paul (Human Resources)

Great place to work, great people
Apr 26, 2022 - Human Resources Manager in Rochester, NYRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Global technology company born from legacy, iconic brand (Kodak). Two business units, focusing on scanner and software business and photo printing and retail. Loyal and tenured employees, who also happen to be amazing people. Long standing policies and practices. Generous, affordable benefit package (single plan), flexible time off, 401K match, fully vested immediately amazing work/life balance! I personally received ample feedback, reviews, growth and development within my role over 3.5 years. The team I worked directly with is dedicated, passionate, collaborative and extremely knowledgeable.
Cons
I was recruited for a brand new opportunity at a growing company with ample career advancement and an extremely competitive salary. Excited for new change, new people, new technology, new policies, processes and procedures.
Kodak Alaris Response

Pros
Good work/life balance; trustworthy co-workers who want to see us succeed and will help even in short notice. Learning
Cons
Terrible terrible comp plan (thanks Management!); unreasonable quota assignments (thanks again Management!!); remarkably aged staff, many who are totally retired on the job, this is not a blanket statement, so have worked there 30+ years and are superior, but those are the exception to the otherwise simple rule of entitled people who worked at EKC in the "good ole days".

Talent Acquisition Manager
It is always nice to hear when our employees appreciate their co-workers and the work / life balance that Kodak Alaris offers. We encourage you to reach out to your Manager regarding your quota - we want challenging not unrealistic goals. As a young company we will continue to review and benchmark our compensation plans for competitiveness and effectiveness. If you are part of the Information Management business we did change the timing of payments back to monthly since you wrote this review – so hopefully that has helped. - Lisa Days, Talent Acquisition Manager

No Room for Growth or Advancement
Apr 7, 2020 - Analyst in Rochester, NYRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Decent compensation, senior leadership is mostly great and very personable, global company, lots of great people with great experience, work life balance is excellent
Cons
Being in declining industries and markets means there is almost no room to develop or advance. Most vacant positions are eliminated unless you are an engineer. The company has no leadership development and all of the new exciting projects go to the same people. There is no investment in technology, while many systems are old and outdated. The company likes to say they are data driven, but there is little evidence of that. The company hasn't surveyed its employees in a while, so who knows what the overall sentiment is. Turnover is high for young professionals. There's a lot of that "but we've always done it that way" attitude because a lot of people have been there over 20 years.
