I worked at Kohl's as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

Great boss, fun projects to work on, creative freedom

    Cons

Contractors get treated much differently than full time workers in certain respects. It's unfortunate because contractors are really great workers and can be very loyal as well.

I worked at Kohl's as an intern

    Pros

Great company culture, young, great benefits, awesome facilities (new cafeteria, wellness center, day care, etc). Kohl's really takes care of the whole person, not just the you that's there 9-5.

    Cons

Intern program really depended on the team (the buying office) you were placed with. There was a lot of movement among the buying offices while I was there, so I felt a little lost/less helpful in comparison to some of my fellow interns who had extremely invested team members and the same intern coach thought the experience.

    Advice to Management

In terms of the intern program, just making sure that objectives of intern program are clear to everyone who will work with the interns so the experience can be as fulfilling and fair as possible to all interns.
