    I worked at Kohl's full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Growing company, LP team is growing.

    Cons

Number driven. Popularity contest. Hard to grow past loss prevention supervisor. Majority of the districts have one opening for a Loss Prevention Manager(LPDM Training Position). Very difficult to be recognized.

    Pros

Large company, multiple opportunities, some of the perks

    Cons

Lack of work life balance and no interest from management to improve conditions. Or come up with actual solves for the workflow.

    I have been working at Kohl's part-time

    Pros

It's really easy work......mind numbing easy.

    Cons

No one ever seems to know whats going on. I'm seasonal and everyone I have met and worked with the last 3weeks is too. I don't think I have seen or spoke to a regular employee yet. You never see a manager or adult of any kind just a bunch of teenagers that apparently all started around the same time I did. For my first 3days no one knew I was supposed to be there or what I was supposed to be doing so I just folded clothes my entire shift, never get a break, no one tells you anything or checks in on you, just leave when your done. I had zero training but I do have retail experience. No one trained me for register. I was called to cover another new girls break and just winged it. The very next day I was on register, closing alone from 9p-11p. When I say alone, I mean I was literally the only cashier in the store, no one to be seen to even ask a question if I had too. It's all very twilight zone. I feel like I just float around Kohls like ghost. I could just do whatever and no one even knows I'm there. I'm definitely thinking about quitting. I only took the job to make some extra holiday cash, I don't need the job and frankly I'm over it.

    Advice to Management

    Training would be nice.

I have been working at Kohl's full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Great hours
    Flexible schedule
    Great benefits
    Great discounts
    Extra comp week time off
You never see the district manager, and is never in his stores. The LPDM is the same, horrible, never in the stores and when she is she never gives you anything constructive.
But when you do see him and her it’s a total waste of time.

    Cons

    Hard work
Limited employees, limited management staff, limited payroll to staff the store. You never have enough staff to get your store recovered, and to man the fitting rooms, you never have enough hours for cashiers so your lines are long.

    Advice to Management

    Don’t come work here!
