I have been working at Konsus (Less than a year)

    Pros

Flexible time to work. Project managers help to adjust time to a Freelancer's schedule.
Friendly guidance and management is very organized.
Variety of projects that are fun to work with.

    Cons

Pay for very certain projects can have a fixed pay.

    "Freelance Graphic Design Application Process"

Former Freelancer - Digital Engagement Strategist in Washington, DC

I worked at Konsus (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Straightforward online application form.
Some questions infer they want to get to know you as a person.

    Cons

Spent a good amount of time answering questions and then find out they have a policy where every graphic designer starts at $10/hour. Your rate may increase if your work is good. This is fine if you're an entry-level designer but if you have more experience don't bother wasting your time with their lengthy application.

    Advice to Management

List the hourly rate on your job description.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Konsus as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Fast-paced
    Good clients' contacts
Great co-workers, both PMs and Freelancers.

    Cons

As a Project Manager you end up working most of the time for free.
    Not worth it financially.
Both founders seem great guys, but Konsus vision does not reflect what they're saying and trying to achieve.
    No career growth.
    No benefits.

    Advice to Management

Being stuck with corporate mentality ruins the startup culture, and eventually you won't be able to get top talent working for you.

I have been working at Konsus full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Flexible hours means projects come in at all hours. Like any business, you'll need to put in the time at the beginning to reap the rewards later on. This means you'll have to pick up whatever projects come your way without being too choosy. Otherwise, you'll be losing out on the hours you get paid for.

    Cons

Many dud requests that come in. Not that it's the fault of the management but a lot of requests just aren't from legitimate sources or have no interest whatsoever to actually start a project. Which may lead to wasted time.

I worked at Konsus (More than a year)

Ability to grow within the company and take on new responsibilities

    Cons

Not meant for people who are looking for a fixed salary.

    Advice to Management

Keep going, you are doing a fantastic job!

I have been working at Konsus (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Open community with very smart individuals
    - The management team is simply genius
    - Extremely convenient schedule
    - Opportunities for growth
    - Competitive pay
    - Extremely convenient commute (aka I work from home)
    - Understanding management
    - Interesting and dynamic work
    - They actually care a lot about their employees

    Cons

    - If we all work remotely, I never get a chance to meet the management in person and have a drink. No more Christmas or summer parties. I guess even the best of things has cons.
