    Pros

Tom Hogan and John Joyce are great leaders! The products are, far and away, best in class. A lot of autonomy that lets people do their jobs.

    Cons

Since much of management is only been here about a year, some issues still need to be figured out. At times, there is a lot of "heavy" lifting to get things done.

I worked at Kony full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Met some outstanding colleagues before most splintered off elsewhere. Other than that it was all cons and a matter of time before finding the right exit.

    Cons

Ineffective and disorganized, company is largely controlled 13-1/2 time zones away, directly or indirectly. Very early or late Skype meetings that abound with lack of clarity and decisiveness.

    Advice to Management

Invest in professional product development resources with a proven track record, and quality and scalability will follow. A company without vision and core values quickly becomes a nutty mess of opportunists and wanderers.

I have been working at Kony full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Kony is a leading provider of mobility services and is rated highly by analysts
You can get paid above the market rate and may be able to get relocation costs to Austin or Orlando, both of which are state tax-free locations

    Cons

No clear strategy for the company's products
Ongoing reorganization has left everything in disarray with new owners for all functions
onsite / offshore continues to work in their own silos
they claim they will release an IPO soon but there is more chance of NASA getting funding for space shuttle program
HR has been adding 5 star reviews to glassdoor citing roles that don't even exist in the company

    Advice to Management

Don't fire all the old employees just for bringing in your previous colleagues.
Simplify the product offerings and pricing
Stop the song and dance type of quarterly all hands calls

Exciting work as it is in the mobile space

    Cons

Management, Product is terrible (look at Southwest Airlines app. The text is not even consistent on the buttons - this is a product limitation)

    Advice to Management

    Sell and move on

I have been working at Kony full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good pay nice working conditions. Very nice people at Kony but few are empowered (ironic since our slogan is Empowering Everywhere).

    Cons

Kony's solutions are complex, confusing and engineered by incompetence. It has hired an all new executive team none familiar with the mobile market and are trying to put lipstick on the Kony pig. It's a shell game for an IPO. We are losing customers right an left. If you work here you better dust off your resume as HR exec is hunting for you. Meanwhile the executives now in Texas or California rarely show up in Orlando. They are up in the Kony cloud somewhere.

    Advice to Management

You're sucking this company dry. Enjoy it while it lasts.

    Pros

good pay, good benefits, and reasonable work-life balance

    Cons

mismanaged company, ad-hoc reactive culture. constantly chasing its tail, putting out fires, no strategy - neither business nor product.

    Advice to Management

kill off the unproductive areas, and focus on ONE thing that can win. Get 12-18 months ahead of the market and go for it. It's not too late to turn this around.

    Kony Response

Aug 18, 2014 – Senior Director, Talent Acquisition

While we cannot change the past we CAN focus on Kony's future. Our new executive team has put together a long term strategy and set business objectives and goals for this year. These objectives and ... More

I worked at Kony full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great Salary, Benefits, paid vacations, and HR Staff

    Cons

Expect excellent productivity with little or no resources. High Turn over, awesome feeling when first hired, but micro management. Field reps drive your commissions and you do not have control of the opportunity. Field Reps quit constantly but are a major part of your success when trying to make/ convert deals. Territories are not clearly defined and special treatment is given certain type of peoples.

    Advice to Management

Look at your management team in the area of Business Development. If they don't really care for you or you make suggestions which you feel may help benefit the company, yourself and the team during your probation period you become a target for termination, even before you 90 days.

Your management team build a case and does not look at the positive aspects of the individual which allows them to become a target instead of an asset to the company. They form an opinion of you and try to change other employees opinions behind closed doors. This is awful because the company offers one of the best products in their industry and has the potential of reducing the high turn over if they would evaluate their management team in this area.

    Pros

A fun, exciting company with really good people. Their mobile app development open platform is pure magic. The developers are some of the world's best and can create virtually anything.

    Cons

No ill will or criticism from my standpoint.

    Advice to Management

Best of luck. I appreciated the opportunity to introduce and represent Kony to some of the largest VARs in America.
