I worked at Koodo Mobile full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There's no pros during the time I was there.

    Cons

Location is terrible. Bad management and unprofessional in lots of ways. Working environment has too much foreign language.

    Advice to Management

Less condescending attitudes, try not to be stupidly stubborn, and don't lie. Give decent pay and respect is the only way to keep talents.

    Pros

Coworkers become like family, they are what make you want to stay. You build a really strong friendship

    Cons

Management turn over is high, they will move mountains to get you transferred or terminated if they don’t like you. It’s petty and secretive they way they act in their little cohort of group chats, there is no open and honest room for growth or improvement. They have a click and will gossip non stop it’s actually pathetic

    Advice to Management

The group chats are useless. They don’t act as a way for communication about important things because nobody answers actual questions it’s just to brag about sales. Train your managers and maybe ask about the group chats that the area manager isn’t involved in because that’s where the real dirty business goes down

I have been working at Koodo Mobile full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great perks, great looking office, lots of nice people

    Cons

Unfortunately because it's a small team, a few rotten apples ruin the bunch. A few key managers have been brought in that are lifers from TELUS (just because of their connection to directors) and do not fit the pre-existing fun and enjoyable Koodo culture.

Passive aggressive , not friendly and not supportive. I have witnessed many schemes to out good hardworking employees.

Politics is also the name of the game here, so only apply if thats your jam.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of toxic management that doesn't fit the culture. It's pretty obvious who they are. It's only a select few.Make sure all positions go through the standard process and they are vetted for culture.
Otherwise this would be a great team

I worked at Koodo Mobile full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Great company culture
    - Employee benefits are supreme - I had full coverage!
    - The company gave us life balance bonuses of $200 a year and a day off so we can sustain good mental health
    - The products and services are reliable, and make the customers very happy
    - Lots of opportunity to be recognized for the work you do well
    - Flexible shifts: very accommodating for students. You are also given the option to work for different locations, and if you move cities, they place you in the new city.
    - Commission is great: I graduated debt free because of the commission I earned
    - Honest employees: they emphasize transparency to their employees, so that the customer understands everything within the activation process, etc.
    - You are given a company phone, and $200 off the purchase of a mobile device
    - It is easy to access management. All you have to do is look them up in the database and can email them.
    - A team-oriented environment: colleagues help each other constantly. It is like being part of a family.

    Cons

    - The only negative experience I had working at Koodo was working with my manager, who was too vindictive for the position. All other managers are fantastic, and this individual no longer works for the company for legal reasons.

    Advice to Management

Notify senior management sooner with concerns to employee and management disputes.
