I worked at Krispy Kreme part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The people. Some of the most generous human beings on earth work extremely hard in the shops.
The product. It sells itself, and it makes people's day.

    Cons

Constant turnover in upper levels at corporate. Unrealistic goals and sales ultimatums. Complete disconnect between every department. Zero communication and transparency from the top down. Only care about the bottom line. Employees are not valued as assets, more so viewed as a nuisance expense. No job security; employees are a statistic. Not friendly for a younger consumer or workforce. Ran by older generations immune to new age thinking.

    Advice to Management

Apply the company's mission statement to your employees in addition to your customers.

I worked at Krispy Kreme (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Nothing good about working here.

    Cons

It's very very slow nothing to do but stand around and pretend to work. They don't give hour and always tell you to leave early.

    Advice to Management

They basically fired me told me they didn't have any hours to give me after I quit my last job for this job. SO DON'T WORK HERE UNLESS YOU DON'T NEED MONEY!!!

I worked at Krispy Kreme full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The pros to this job are mainly if you like doughnuts, You get free ones, Coffee too.

    Cons

The management talks down to everyone, They mean the things they say too.
If you are over 18, NO BREAKS. Yup that's right No lunch. Store manager really has NO POWER, everything is video and audio recorded to boot to the point the district manager has the cameras rigged to her phone. The workers seem like the job is a bother to them, half of them do busy work and leave the grunt work to the new guys.

    Advice to Management

Fire everyone from the district manager, down to the cashiers. Hire all new people, leaders to lead the company and workers who want to work.
Trust your employees, not everything needs to be heard or seen.
Breaks, mean more for morale than you understand let those over 18 have them.

I worked at Krispy Kreme full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

My position, there was none for I had to clean up after nasty employees who trashed the breakroom, could not even put their dirty aprons in a barrel that they passed going to the break room or leaving at the end of their shift. They would leave food & drinks on the table even though there is a trash can in both the break room & the bathroom.

    Cons

Asked to be moved to cashier, told no opening yet hire 3-4 young people for that spot. The supervisor may come in a good mood, overzealous mood in which she wants to yank on your belt or tickle your neck while you are working, or she would come in a bad mood & start hollering at you in front of customers and just keep repeating herself & follow you where ever you went, accusing you of being lazy & not wanting to work. Though you had been working & still working while she has this fit. She gets herself worked up to the point of sending you home & you lose a days pay. Reported these actions to the store manager who only tells you to watch yourself for she can be dangerous. I forgot to say this employee has been with the company for 23 years.

    Advice to Management

Just because someone has been with the company for many years and has a history of work violations, you should have had her released before injuries happen or a lawsuit.

    Pros

Decent pay. Small store. Nothing else.

    Cons

Upper management is a joke. Not flexible with your schedule. Won't ever schedule you for more than 33 hours.

    Advice to Management

Get new management or maybe try caring about your employees below you.

I worked at Krispy Kreme (Less than a year)

    Pros

The customers were very nice and were always calling in because of great service in the drive thu .

    Cons

The work ethics of the workers were horrible, not too many of the customers enjoyed coming in because of it.

    Advice to Management

Hire workers that actually like to work. Most of the people that are their just work because they need a job and not because they want to see the company thrive.

    Pros

NONE lousy pay lousy schedule lousy management. there are no redeeming qualities for working for this company. there is nothing good to mention.

    Cons

Managers are told to lie directly to employees as part of standard operating procedures. Managers lie regularly to get employees to do extra tasks. There is nothing good about the corporate culture within this company. They even have a manual on how to get rid of employees and not have to pay out unemployment benefits. It is a horrible company run by morally bankrupt people.

    Advice to Management

You cannot give evil advice, nor can you give anything to improve on when dealing with evil people who use evil means to get the job done. I advise that they all get sterilization to avoid populating the world with any more evil
