    Pros

The pay was slightly better than one could find in the immediate area. If you like eating lots of donuts, you will like the only benefit.

    Cons

Management is poorly run and make terrible business decisions. They are on several bankruptcy watch lists so employment may not be very safe.

    Advice to Management

Look to other chains, such as Dunkin Donuts, and try to adopt their models. The world is moving away from fatty donuts and you need to keep up with the times.

    Pros

Having a paycheck in this deep recession we're in.

    Cons

    No career growth, unprofessional director(s)

    Advice to Management

Establish an employee system wherein departmental issues can be resolved in a timely manner. Currently, rules are not being inforced and employee morale is suffering as a result. Only a couple departments promote internally, finance isn't one of them.

    Pros

Amazing coworkers and customers. Close proximity to my home those were pretty much the only pros of this job.

    Cons

Terrible policies, unrealistic expectations for production associates. I worked many days with out breaks.

    Advice to Management

Take a more active role in what is going on.

    Cons

underpaid, under staffed, never enough help, jerk shift managers, rude customers, seriously its donuts people

I worked at Krispy Kreme full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I started as a manager in training. I traveled to 2 different States. For a 6 months to train to be an assistant manager. It was fun learning different aspects of the job and traveling. The pay was out standing.

    Cons

Krispy Kreme locations do not train the same. I was trained more on making donuts then actual manager training. Once I became an assistant manager I was sent to University Store in Winston Salem. I had no life the Gm there ruined my career. He set me up to fail when I went to HR I was fired 3 Months later.

    Advice to Management

Assistant manager Position needs More management training for 6 months. If u are wanting to hire a shift supervisor do that instead of placing an assistant manager at a store then treating them like a shift supervisor.

I have been working at Krispy Kreme part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Free stuff and meeting new people and working with amazing people are the best parts of working at Krispy Kreme

    Cons

It's terrible ... Customers are often grumpy and rude ( especially in morning shifts ) and communication is terrible between the staff and management . On top of the , the owners and managers do not care about the employees at all and often make up things for you to do that are NOT apart of your job description . The store I work at always has new rules by word-of-mouth . The rules change daily and I'm often doing things that people higher then me should be doing . You never get a pay raise on time and RARELY get them . Management is stingy to pay you and loves working you hard with little to no pay , I'm currently looking for a new Job & in the past 3 weeks 5 people have quit at my store . I WILL be the 6th .

    Advice to Management

Learn to care and appreciate your customers instead of being so ungrateful

I worked at Krispy Kreme full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Occasionally free doughnuts, long hours and a little bit above minimum wage. Most of the workers all did their job, especially the older ladies.

    Cons

No lunch breaks, I was hired as a "Manager" but first they wanted me to be a staff lead. (I have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and managerial experience). Complete joke when it comes to the management staff. The person that was supposed to, "train me" did not even speak English. They gave me a hard time since I did not find a need to take, "notes"

    Advice to Management

The management team in El Paso, TX have no clue how to run an efficient restaurant. Turnover is extremely high, overhead and variable costs are off the roof. Much of these problems can not be solved with the current management team. I had to leave because I was the only one who saw this and everyone else was completely blind. Needless to say, all the regular workers admired my hard driven effort, except for the management team. Now, I'm working in the oil and gas industry and scheduled to have my Master's degree next year
