I have been working at Kronos Incorporated full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Reasonable pay and benefits.
    laid back.

    Cons

Zero career growth for people who perform.
Incompetent Managers, hire mediocre employees and reward them based on favoritism.
Projects are implemented for years without any retrospect.

    Advice to Management

Hire more young professionals, who are looking to make a difference.
You cannot expect a bad upper management to hire good employees down the chain.

I worked at Kronos Incorporated full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Work life balance. That's all anyone ever talks about and why Kronos is consistently rated so high in terms of places to work.

    Cons

Technology, Innovation, Future. Kronos is stuck with a 1990's style code base they're trying to pass off as a 2017 SaaS solution. They're rushing the product and not taking the time to do it correctly. No one wants to re-write the core code therefore everything is held together with duct tape and bailing wire. It's incredibly fragile and bug ridden and it's only a matter of time before customers get sick of the headaches of upgrading and go to a real SaaS solution. The worst part is that most of the senior management and engineers have been at Kronos for so long that they don't see the problem. "This is the way we'v always done it" Is not a phrase one wants to hear at a technology company.

    Advice to Management

Start over. Bring in some new blood that has real SaaS experience and do it right. You have the WFM talent, but not the SaaS talent.

    Pros

PTO is unlimited so u can take 6-8 weeks off a year

    Cons

Health insurance has gotten very poor. Forcing everyone into HSA's with huge deductibles that does very little in the way of coverage for you or family.

    Advice to Management

The millions of dollars ur making because of employees should be reinvested towards them. Bring back good health insurance for everyone

I have been working at Kronos Incorporated full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

PTO Policy is second to none. You have my time which allows you to take off as much time as you want and when you want.

    Cons

No workplace feedback in regards to how your rating.
You set goals and no one reviews progress on them.
Increases lower than cost of living but others are bragging about 3x what you got and are your equalized peers, there's no rhyme or reason to it.
Top heavy management that pushes everything downward

    Advice to Management

When your dinging your employees come review and raise time yet don't provide ANY feedback during the year to them it doesn't sit well. If you are going to show little value to keepingtop talent either they will leave or just start doing the minimums required.

I have been working at Kronos Incorporated (More than a year)

    Pros

Employees & co-workers are top notch. The people here genuinely want to do a good job and it shows in their work ethic. The problems are challenging in a good way.

    Cons

There was an all-staff meeting where the CPO was late. When he came in he stood over a woman sitting in "his seat" and demanded that she move to another chair at the conference table. We all watched in amazement as she gathered her things, moved down the table to a different empty seat, only then did he start the meeting. This is an excellent example of his "leadership" technique.

Ridiculously infantile and completely arbitrary "incentive" programs like lollipops, poker chips, stickers and magnets.

Told to use internal social media platforms that change every year (tibber, chatter, yammer, who knows what's next)... why do we have to do this?????

Good people are leaving and/or getting fired at a disturbingly frequent rate! Top people in many fields come here, tell the senior leadership what is wrong, then either leave after watching their advice go unheeded or get summarily dismissed for "not being a Kronite".

    Advice to Management

Aron - PLEASE look at what's going on in 300! Ask hard questions! Don't just ask leadership, talk to the people working in cloud and engineering. Good people are being terminated for ridiculous reasons. The Kronos that you talk about in your yearly meetings isn't what is actually happening.

I have been working at Kronos Incorporated (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Benefits have been improved recently to include "My Time" which is marketed as unlimited vacation time, too new to tell if this will actually be supported by management.

    Cons

Executive and other senior leadership is unwilling to take action on bad management and when unethical actions are brought to their attention the executive level doesn't do anything about it. Its unfortunate that a strong employee would have to choose to leave a job that he/she is good at due to unethical Director/Sr. Director level management. Very counter productive for a company claiming to be a "Best Place to work".

    Pros

Lots of people to learn from and teach things too. Very smart people. Aware that they need invest in employees and are trying to shift. Some amazing Kronites. Mentor program available, though few know about it. Less ridged benefits and full maternity leave. Moving to a newer facility next year. Gym on site and lots of health & wellness programs. Coworkers are like a family they care about each other.

    Cons

Not focused on business operations, career & skill development of employees. Employees over burden the leanest team possible to pull off heroics. Systems doent support the workflow. Upper management had their pride and the boys club in the way of running a business properly. Oddly siloed- multiple divisions having their own training, marketing & hr type programs rather than leveraging the corporate wide departments. Everyone is over tasked at virtual all times, yet important things don't get accomplished while childish frivolities of cakes and lollipops are provided. HRs sole focus is to support upper management and to show you the door if you attempt to have courage or be empowered. Management doesn't know how to lead, support or form great teams. The stars are burden with the slack of the weak rather than working as a team and helping everyone be successful.

    Advice to Management

You've got a lot to review and a shake up is needed. TMO is a wonderful addition. Listen to them. Take feedback from folks who have left who are open to speak freely about the problems without being shown the door. Look for the common denominators.
