I worked at Kronos Incorporated full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Above three star for Aron and great culture of company. Most of review is directly related to department and there are many great teams in Kronos. It is every important to understand for which team you are working.

    It is good place ..

    - Great pay
    - Vacation time
    - Great Training
    - Flexible time , You can also start at morning 5 am If you want.
    - Solid product
    - Great infrastructure
    - Solid Cloud Application implementation.
    - A lot of opportunities for career growth.
    - You will work with smart people and engineers.
    - great work with software architects and other top management for any kind of discussion and ideas
    - Great Cloud application testing strategy
    - Great 1.5 mile walk during lunch time.

    Cons

    - Office Politics are worst than state politics
    - Very poor agile implementation. No agile coach company wide.
    - poor person in team will become scrum master for team and act like type writer. No thinking process.
    - I have 5 managers in less then 3 years and none of them never focused on personal growth
    - unrealistic goal for automation testing 80% QA have no idea about automation.
    - During 2014 - 2015, one manager created very uncomfortable situation , Half of the team ( 10 team member ) decide to go within 2 months and HR never involved themselves to understand the situation.
    - To start server for development or for testing, It takes 35 mins every day. Just count 500 plus engineer x 35 min ?, Same situation from last 2 years. No one realizes this problem. I was laughing every day.
    - You will troubleshoot every day rather doing actual work.
    - Kronos is creating cloud software in a way that it needs other 100 people to manage lol. It so funny to see how they are implementing. many time team members sweat when they are touching specific system.
    - Very poor performance goal handling, Manager just put any random thing and close the paper work.
    - Kronos advertise for how their employee to enjoy remote work but when you go and talk to manager, it will be confusing answer all the time. I don't know why they spend money on advertisement. I showed ad to manager too lol.

I quite Kronos because every day i was realizing that there are many better place to work outside of Kronos

    Advice to Management

if you really care then please fix above cons..It will save millions of hours and money.

I worked at Kronos Incorporated full-time

    Pros

Great, experienced employees. TRY to stay ahead of trends and spend a lot of money on future products. Good Pay.

    Cons

Very cutthroat sr. leadership. Previous performance and loyalty doesn't matter. Not good at selecting experienced outside resources to refresh sr leadership. Not the best at integrating company acquired
Trying to do too many new things at the same time results in sub par product quality.

    Advice to Management

Hire Sr. leadership from the outside, certainly for man of the customer facing organizations, e.g. Support, Cloud, Services, need overhaul. most Vp levels lack experience to successfully run the Verticals and the organization all together.

I have been working at Kronos Incorporated full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Great pay and solid benefits.
New location is full of great amenities.
Flexible schedule as long as you are meeting goals.
    Most people are friendly.
Aaron Ain is very inspiring and seems to really believe the message he spreads.

    Cons

    Training was not very organized.
Very incestuous environment. A lot of relationships, marriages, between employees and higher-ups. This tends to create some uncomfortable moments and lack of trust for other employees without spousal/relationship "protection".
Middle management seems to also be promoted from within based on likability/friendships, as opposed to competence. Some are in over their heads but will most likely never be removed.
Currently selling faster than implementation teams can keep up with, resulting in angry customers and claw-backs.

    Advice to Management

Make sure new employees are properly trained, as well as requiring current management to be re-evaluated annually.
Reward and promote based on merit, not popularity or length of employment.
There seem to be a lot of canned reviews on Glassdoor, most likely from HR. It is a great company, but there are some deep-seeded issues that get swept under the rug, as employees seem to be weary of complaining inside the Kronos bubble.
Make sure the manager reviews are truly anonymous, or don't require employees to take them. Most everybody just gives top ratings in fear of retaliation.
HIRE MORE PEOPLE TO ACTUALLY MAKE SURE WFR CUSTOMERS WILL GET THE PURCHASED PRODUCTS IN A REASONABLE TIMEFRAME. This is a huge issue that has been "getting solved" for years, yet only seems to be getting worse.
Pay more attention to middle management. More than a few are in over their heads, but will never be replaced as they are friendly with superiors.

I worked at Kronos Incorporated full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    -Able to work from home
-Coworkers are (generally) great people to work with

    Cons

-Newest software (version 8) is awful, constant bugs & its hard to work with customers when they know the software sucks too
-Not doing too well at trying to become a true SaaS model
-People that have worked there for many years are resistant to change
-Processes are outdated, seems like they are always trying to put bandages on issues instead of fixing them

    Advice to Management

Give professional services the resources they need to succeed (cant do your job when you are spending half your time trying to figure out bugs in the system)

I worked at Kronos Incorporated full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Work-life balance; small company values prior to purchase by Kronos. Ability to work across departments; offer strategic guidance and make immediate impact in your department . Leader in financial service field.

    Cons

Work-life balance is available only when you adhere to Sr. Management rules. Company representatives. will make promises at first that appear to align with Company Core Values; then reverse their decisions and will not follow through. Extremely poorly managed by current leader, former leader of company; be extremely careful with senior leadership leading the transition of financial management system inc. Individuals will not keep your work-place conversations private; will be used against you if not inline with current Leadership. Work place retaliation

    Advice to Management

Reevaluate the current leadership to support the core values of Leadership with Kronos and of company chief officer. Company has opportunity to be a great place to establish a career; yet several employees are witnessing first hand the poor leadership in place.

I have been working at Kronos Incorporated full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Investing in "cool" factor of the new headquarters office
    - Historically pays 100% or more of annual bonus plan (though it is always based on company performance)

    Cons

    - The "best place to work" title is really a lot of propaganda, it might be the best place to work for some employees, though there are huge segments of the population that are over worked, not able to take vacation and not equipped with the proper technology to successfully deliver on expectations
    - Executive leadership (not counting Aron) has become stale and top heavy. Some leaders have been at the company so long that they don't know anything but Kronos and have nothing innovative to add
    - Expect employees to be intelligent, though our intelligence is insulted with every town hall/ quarterly meeting where leadership spouts all these great statistics, when we know otherwise
    - Don't want to listen when issues are brought up, until it is too late and drastic actions need to be taken, then they are swept under the rug

    Advice to Management

    - Bring in some fresh blood in the executive level (get rid of the dinosaurs)
    - Invest in your next generation of leaders that are already in the company
    - LISTEN TO YOUR PEOPLE

I worked at Kronos Incorporated as an intern

    Pros

Intern program was awesome. The Talent Acquisition department really made it more exciting and did a great job putting together different activities to change up what you were doing and would give you a chance to meet the other interns

    Cons

Spent my entire summer doing the same exact project several times over

I have been working at Kronos Incorporated full-time

    Pros

I receive adequate compensation for my role.

    Cons

Problems are only addressed when they impact the bottom line which is often too late to address them in a strategic way. Kronos is largely a victim of its own success and has no institutional processes for improvement because its always been profitable.

    Advice to Management

When someone with relevant experience outside of Kronos tells you something is going to be a problem, don't assume they are wrong because they don't know "the kronos way"
