I have been working at Kronos Incorporated full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Company direction, opportunity to learn new things. Opportunity to help shape the company.

    Cons

Engaged executive leadership. Next level down leadership is mixed. Main product's software architecture is not scalable which has led to unstable production releases. Over promises and under delivers due to aggressive expectations and unstable software base.

    Advice to Management

Recognize the challenges where people are voting with their feet.

I worked at Kronos Incorporated full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

For a regular company the benefits are OK but compared to other tech companies out there they fare poorly. Company's official position is to thrive towards work-life balance, this is generally true exept for ingeneering and sales.

    Cons

Compensation is slightly below market. Very cliquey environment, if you're a top performer but not with the in-crowd or friendly with the right people, you're best career move will be to leave for another company. Very little diversity except in engineering. Management is 99% white American, if you do a LinkedIn search on Kronos you won't see much diversity.. If you're not a towny you might not fit in.

    Advice to Management

Good leadership requires fairness, get rid of the clique mentality and promote based on performance. Expand your horizons and work on diversity.

I worked at Kronos Incorporated full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Most people are great to work with my peers were very supportive
Competitive salaries for the area (outside Boston - lower than inside the Big City)
A lot of people like the working there, which is a positive
I do like Aron - he is pretty personable and will talk to anyone - he gets a big thumbs up!

    Cons

Management in some departments tends to "shut their doors" and are not engaged with the 'worker bees' even though us worker bees are making 6 figure plus salaries (HMMM....maybe our ideas are worth listening to?)
Some teams clearly have issues getting along and there is a lot of talking behind other dept backs about how bad the other is doing without looking inward.
Too boring for me, not my thing - I prefer the .com/younger software crowd - this one is very old school.
Some leaders treat their people like they are in Catholic School - your hands will get smacked by the Nun (so beware).
Don't see how much innovation can be made to time-card management software in an industry where the company competes with itself.

    Advice to Management

Open your doors a little bit wider and see what is going on outside of your offices.....engage more with your people. Some of you are good at it, many more are very introverted and not quite engaged.....stop taking so many surveys and talk to your people direct.

    Pros

PTO is unlimited so u can take 6-8 weeks off a year

    Cons

Health insurance has gotten very poor. Forcing everyone into HSA's with huge deductibles that does very little in the way of coverage for you or family.

    Advice to Management

The millions of dollars ur making because of employees should be reinvested towards them. Bring back good health insurance for everyone

I have been working at Kronos Incorporated full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The genuine mission and values at Kronos truly make this a great place to learn, succeed and grow. The organization and leadership team not only sets the strategy and gives voice to what they deem important, but also 'walk the talk'. I have had the opportunity to work on projects and new initiatives with autonomy yet full support and have had a blast doing it, in a short period of time. My contributions have been recognized and rewarded.

    Cons

While the CEO and CHRO are excellent leaders, the majority of the Executive Committee and senior leadership team do not carry out the same set of values and standards of leadership, with a few exceptions. More collaboration across functions and business groups would be beneficial as well. The opportunity to see the senior leadership team interacting with the general population could provide more visibility and insight into their true character.

    Pros

Fun coworkers, and a smart group of senior developers that are always there to help out with complex problems. Friday lunches are great, and the VPs have the skills and knowledge to keep the company going in the right direction.

    Cons

Some middle management isn't up to the bar of the VPs or senior employees.

    Pros

The Kronos Culture is one of family, inspiration, flexibility and success. Family first is our CEO's core value. Until Kronos I had not worked in a Corporate America that truly cared, not just about the number but my family and work / life balance as well. It is a team culture that leads to success for not only clients, but personal success also.

    Cons

Travel causes us to be away more than we would like.

    Advice to Management

Continue you breeding a culture of helping one another and family first.
