    I worked at Kum & Go full-time

    Pros

They do pay - but very mediocre.
Much of the Mgmt syst is stored on the cloud - supervisor or VP can access your store info (including today's sales & payroll info) from any store computer.

    Cons

Lots of nepotism. Company accountants tell mgmt how to run their stores. Successful store managers are glorified clerks - not managers who develop a sales team by leading from the front. Do what you're told by corporate, not what makes sense or what might develop an exiting vision for store workers. The culture & K&G is best navigating by always having a Judas goat as a backup.

Bonuses are capped, so don't bother working too hard. Sales goals are set by bean counters based on prior year sales, so either work a store in a growing neighborhood or take over a store from a weak manager.

Store managers get mediocre benefits for the many hours put in - asst mgrs get much less for benefits but aren't generally required to work beyond their 38-45 hours per week. I worked several +90 hour weeks, including a 30 hour shift on my birthday.

    Advice to Management

Assess the value of K&G Corp - then sell it with a 60% discount to QuikTrip. The store staff will be moderately better off next year - though half the Krouse & Gentle family members might be out of a job.
