I have been working at Kum & Go full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The people you'll meet and the things you will learn will stick with you for years to come and that's something you can't find in very many places.

    Cons

There's a high turnover rate in some stores and it can put some extra strain on the sales managers who pick up extra shifts.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees. The people in the stores have to experience things that upper management seems to have forgotten we deal with. A lot of the store employees have great ideas for ways to improve everyone's work day but it seems like there's no way for us to give our input.

I worked at Kum & Go full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Worked with great people, small town setting, friendly customers, 40 plus hours a week. Garanteed

    Cons

No down time. Pay is minimal without regular pay raises.

    Advice to Management

Conv.stores are always understaffed and over worked, that's why the turn over rate is so high. To have and maintain a great crew you have to be willing to do just as much as your employees do, and then some. To keep your crew honest be willing to share some of your bonuses. Be willing to alternate your shift as well. I found going in on my 3rd shift helped me to actually have more work done then if I went in at the normal 6am of most managers. Be willing to give a little. Your crew will be a happier crew and more willing to work a little harder when they know you don't mind doing the dirty work as well.
