I worked at Kuni Automotive full-time

    Pros

Occasional free treats/snacks, meals to celebrate holidays, won't rake you over the coles for being >15 min late. The 15 min breaks are nice also.

    Cons

Where do I start? The company motto is that the employees come first- this is simply not true. The people making the company money come first. Dealerships are not held accountable for any deadlines so the accounting staff gets to pick up the slack and work 12 hour days to close the month. The lack of communication between management and staff is obvious, one day you'll be promised something and management will go back on their word in regards to raises, promotions, ect. You will only be promoted if you kiss up to the right people. HR is sketchy too and definitely doesn't have anyones best interest in mind from the stories I've heard.

    Advice to Management

Stop abusing your accounting staff and crack down on stores to follow procedure. If you plan to make your employees work ridiculous hours, make paying them a better wage a priority or you will continue to lose good employees. Operations/HR should really make decisions based on what's going on in the backbone of the company- stop planning extracurricular events in the lunch room so we can't eat comfortably, and holiday events on month-end days so workers can appropriately accommodate the workload and focus on doing the job.

I worked at Kuni Automotive full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Fast paced environment and good earning potential.
    Decent benefits and 401k.
    Factory technology and equipment.

    Cons

Ridged trickle down structure, which is not unlike other companies today.
Team members are regarded only as workers.

    Advice to Management

Love your neighbor as yourself. Enforce as necessary but not to the point where morale suffers.

    Pros

Wonderful company to work for. They genuinely care about their employees.

    Cons

The car business, on the dealership level, is not consistent and like most sales especially big purchases, is very vulnerable to economic trends.

I worked at Kuni Automotive full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Lots of room to advance.

    Cons

Work life balance is way off. Kuni expects you to work a 50+ hour work week with some departments averaging 60+. You will get tiered of hearing "Well thats the auto industry". Executives are the big earners with little trickle down to other employees. Constant lawsuits and huge turnover. Benefits are horrible.

    Advice to Management

Hopefully Holman will turn this around and recognize that people have lives and like to spend time at home more than work.

    Pros

Kuni BMW is one of the best companies on the west coast. Kuni BMW is company that strongly supports their staff and encourages a strong community of teamwork among each other. I have highly recommend Kuni BMW to many who were looking for a company that provides a supporting environment with room for growth.

    Cons

Kuni BMW is a well run business, and there are no drawbacks to this business.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work.
