I worked at Kuni Automotive full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

This showroom is the best around. True luxury.

    Cons

Training was lacking, wi-fi once out of the showroom doesn't work, if you are 'hungry' and can outwork anyone - be careful - you won't be liked...oh well

One more thing...they are living the credo sent from their parent company - this was evident on DAY ONE!

    Advice to Management

Just give some better training man and pair some newbie with two different sales pro's (one good, one so-so) and see what happens.

I have been working at Kuni Automotive full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

In my tenure I have earned a decent living and have maximized my potential monetarily . The platform was decent but way Lower still than the industry standard

    Cons

HR is corrupt . Management is corrupt. Favoritism , bias , illegality running rampant . Employees are mistreated , used and abused. Moral is in the garbage . The company preaches they care about their employees but they would rather protect their managers knowing they are breaking California laws , forging documents and bullying their employees. Audi San Diego is an incestuous mess , where you get ahead BY having the right personal relationships with those at the top . If you
Are not drinking the company’s koolaid you’re out . Once you voice your concerns and ask for help , you become a problem and they’ll do anything to etch you out .

    Advice to Management

Fire the entire management team and bring in managers that have good character and integrity and aren’t complete amateurs . You can’t expect to sell “class “ and luxury when you have managers that aren’t fit to work a Hot Dog stand .

I worked at Kuni Automotive full-time

    Pros

Occasional free treats/snacks, meals to celebrate holidays, won't rake you over the coles for being >15 min late. The 15 min breaks are nice also.

    Cons

Where do I start? The company motto is that the employees come first- this is simply not true. The people making the company money come first. Dealerships are not held accountable for any deadlines so the accounting staff gets to pick up the slack and work 12 hour days to close the month. The lack of communication between management and staff is obvious, one day you'll be promised something and management will go back on their word in regards to raises, promotions, ect. You will only be promoted if you kiss up to the right people. HR is sketchy too and definitely doesn't have anyones best interest in mind from the stories I've heard.

    Advice to Management

Stop abusing your accounting staff and crack down on stores to follow procedure. If you plan to make your employees work ridiculous hours, make paying them a better wage a priority or you will continue to lose good employees. Operations/HR should really make decisions based on what's going on in the backbone of the company- stop planning extracurricular events in the lunch room so we can't eat comfortably, and holiday events on month-end days so workers can appropriately accommodate the workload and focus on doing the job.

I worked at Kuni Automotive full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Fast paced environment and good earning potential.
    Decent benefits and 401k.
    Factory technology and equipment.

    Cons

Ridged trickle down structure, which is not unlike other companies today.
Team members are regarded only as workers.

    Advice to Management

Love your neighbor as yourself. Enforce as necessary but not to the point where morale suffers.
