I worked at Kuoni Group (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Travel perks, once in a while conferences and offsite trips only for management or executives and free food. Most people are nice except for admin and certain execs.

    Cons

Disgusting ghetto offices in NYC right in the heart of Penn station. Bad location, green ugly walls making it feel like prison. Outsourcing of IT, Finance and Customer Service depts in the last year. Everything tends to be urgent and last-minute.

    Advice to Management

Better communication to staff in the Americas, get better organized, get better support. Think of a new model on how to make money and stop outsourcing

Good office and work environment. The staff is nice and the office is relaxed. They try to keep the staff happy by providing some goodies here and there.

    Cons

They keep you in the dark about changes. No updates via email or even in meetings. Most managers dont have any people management training. They is no appreciation from the higher ups.

    Advice to Management

Dont keep the staff in the dark. Periodic updates about crucial happenings in the company would be helpful

I worked at Kuoni Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I worked with some great people in my office.

    Cons

This company does not understand how to properly run a business. They are famous for hiring a lot of people, and then laying off the same people a year later. They make the same mistakes over and over again, and then expect things to change.

    Advice to Management

I would rethink the way you run a business. Rather than hiring and laying off continuously, why don't you try to restructure your upper management.
