    Pros

Hourly rate is ok for a sales advisor job

Very good discount after 3 months probation

Lots of overtime if you want it

    Cons

Whilst working at KG I often wished I had trusted the reviews on here before accepting the job offer. After reading that people were still owed wages and weren't treated fairly I assumed it was just bitter former employees.. I wouldn't say I'm bitter but I'm still owed money and I was often treated unfairly!

No commission when selling 2-3k of stock a day isn't very motivating

Absolutely no recognition when meeting these high targets, just demeaning if you're under target

Being forced to stay longer or do overtime, often asked the night before and expected to comply

Often working 6+ hours without a break

Being forced to wear high heels

    Advice to Management

As with most retail jobs, management can be very immature and mean. I met some lovely supervisors and managers but sadly some were so unprofessional they were either sat in the office on their phones and giggling about how they get away with not doing any work, or being rude to other staff and even customers. This is a shame as I have met supervisors basically running the show that get no recognition for how much hard work they put in. Also as mentioned by someone else, managers seem to be very intimidated by the area managers.

I worked at Kurt Geiger full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great discounts , lovely colleagues, nice shoes & bags, great when busy, meet lovely people , great brand, cons outweigh the pros most definitely

    Cons

Rubbish pay, too much pressure to hit unrealistic targets , no more commission, too much standing around , more rewards for employees needed, management want too much sometimes can be very stressful , the pay doesn't match the job description as often employees are left to do work that senior managers do

I worked at Kurt Geiger part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Emphasis on recruitment means working with like-minded enthusiastic people with a passion for the industry which makes the work environment both positive and enjoyable.
    - Staff are invested in through training and development on a regular basis.
    - Hugh opportunities are made available to those willing to put the work in and show dedication to the company.

    Cons

    - As with many retail jobs, work intensification plays an increasing role. Hours are long, lunch breaks are rare and staff are required to go above and beyond. However, those willing to put the work in are recognised and rewarded accordingly.
