    Pros

Job stability, good pay, unbeatable benefits. Every other Friday off. Bonuses, yearly raise, commuting allowance, lots of opportunities to move up (& not just within dept).

    Cons

Everything moves a lot slower than in private sectors.

    Advice to Management

Hire younger, educated potentials to help the future of this dept.

    Pros

To work in a county environment you have a sense of job security; great benefits and the ability to transfer to different jobs within the county. There are classes you can take to train for other positions and the benefits include discounted rates for schooling.

    Cons

It is a large "company" to work for and you can get lost in the crowd so to speak. You have to make sure you network and find out the best way you can achieve your career goals. The help is there is you seek it but you must go and find it.

    Advice to Management

The only advice to give is to make sure we are all trained and given the opportunity to be trained in new fields to enhance the job that we have and to rise within our position the highest we can.
