- 4.0Nov 15, 2023Live-in CarerFormer Employee, more than 3 yearsOverland Park, KS
Pros
Learning how to live life with others, learning to live “on your own” out of college, help with finances, sense of community.
Cons
Very low pay. It should definitely be in review how little everyone is paid. The “core members” seem to have more income than their helpers who work for them. You’re essentially an underpaid healthcare worker that is not properly trained for the work you do (think CNA tasks). Sense of community, unless you are in a house with all women, in which case you will not receive proper assistance because men are not allowed to work at the house due to restrictions about gender.
