    Disapproves of CEO

    I worked at L Brands full-time

    Pros

Pays better than most other warehouses in the area during peak season
Guaranteed hours; mandatory overtime if that interests you
Small discount on L Brands products
Possibility to be hired on after peak season

    Cons

    Terrible sorting and shipping system
    Conveyors constantly break down
Belt feeds into trailers are very short and requires constant bending to throw boxes off
Almost everything is unloaded, sorted, and loaded again by hand; sorting is referred to as palletizing
"Supervisors" do not participate in any of the above mentioned activities; they simply walk around and look for slackers
Employees are expected to unjam stuck conveyors and are punished if they are unable to
Very, very little possibility for time off regardless of reason. No sick pay. Point system will terminate you regardless of reason.
    Very loud

    Advice to Management

Replace the entire conveyor system in DC5 to at least match the other DCs, treat employees as less disposable, use pallets and forklifts to load/unload like every other DC shipping center

I worked at L Brands full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Few good people and decent work/life balance

    Cons

overall the packaging department has high turnover because upper management is terrible/indecisive contractors come in and out full time PE leave as well. this whole department needs a overhaul. people are usually out for their own benefit here at the BBW Soho branch

    Advice to Management

Leave and bring in better management who don't play favorites

    Pros

They give you lots of samples and full-sized merchandise . They promote from within. A telephone worker without a degree can kiss up to the right person and be promoted to a manager or director.

    Cons

Promoting from within and the inherent cronyism associated with it has created an appallingly bad crop of managers in the Kettering location. Lack of professionalism and incompetence reigns in most operational areas. Disproportionate allocation of resources and rewards based on who you are and who you know. Managers feign concern over the cramped conditions for staff while they lounge in lavish offices large enough to house wing back chairs and conference tables for ten.

    Advice to Management

Promote based on competence and not who you like or know. Be genuine when you praise. Don't tell people they're great to their face then talk behind their backs about how incompetent they are and how you're plotting to fire them. If you're wise enough to hire new blood, listen to what they have to say. Many of your systems are broken and/or archaic. You love to talk about how hard you work but you could be working smarter.

I worked at L Brands full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great benefits, well-known brands, professional atmosphere, work with talented people.

    Cons

Stressful, very fast-paced, too many levels of authority - bogs down decision making.

    Advice to Management

Meet with team members regularly; support team concerns-listen to them when making recommendations. Stop making impossible deadlines with budget constraints.
