I worked at L Brands (More than a year)

    Pros

Opportunity to move up in the company is available, possible and encouraged. store #1406

    Cons

The only con is if you work in retail we are NOT protected. The store I worked at (and my daughter currently does) is visited by thieves (not just shoplifters) on a REGULAR BASIS. The past 2 days in a row groups have come in to the store, said vulger things and casually/blatently took thousands of dollars of merchandise. They left in a stolen vehicle. We feel threatened and scared and its a matter of time before someone gets hurt. Groups stealing from V.S. at this store happens at least once a month for the past 3 years and still management has no security guard. Im encouraging my daughter to quit b/c I fear for her safety.

    Advice to Management

Either close this store or hire a fulltime security guard.

I worked at L Brands full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Nice coworkers. Fun atmosphere, but 'fun' doesn't pay bills.

    Cons

Pays like crap. If you're standing around in uncomfortable shoes, make it worth it.

    Advice to Management

Retail is a job no one else wants to do, pay people accordingly so they can LIVE. The people who stand around and peddle products they can't afford deserve just as much as a living wage as a CEO.

I worked at L Brands full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good benefits, and vacation time off. The pay is okay too.

    Cons

Lack of management available on the floor. No cost of living raises, there are performance ones, but they don't match cost of living, Departmental issues, and no real advancement opportunities.

    Advice to Management

Take the time to learn the department you are in charge of. Interact and make the team feel like you care, instead of just saying it.
