I worked at L Brands part-time for more than a year

    Pros

The girls at my store were pretty cool, working the floor was fun but shipment processing was way more relaxing, bonuses are awesome and super helpful

    Cons

Not enough hours consistently, having to deal with girls who don’t want to work but want money, customers can be a bit much, closing shift has to do it all usually, morning shifts does nothing until 2pm

    Advice to Management

More consistency throughout work day. Better bebenfits for part timers.

I worked at L Brands full-time for more than a year

    Pros

If you love the brand a pro would be the discount. Great seasonal job if you need the hours they will use you for sure! They would stretch me for 20 hours straight over holiday.

    Cons

Was with the company for a year and made full time for my last three months. The culture/environment will tear you down. If you have family/friends you will rarely see them. There’s no respect between managers or associates, everyone including managers will continuously gossip about each other. I was never trained properly and was continuously told about opportunies that they would one day give me (that never actually...

    Advice to Management

TRAIN your associates and give them opportunies to grow. Management, learn to act like management by avoiding gossip and not making promises to associates about growth and compensations.

I have been working at L Brands for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great team members, great management, great discount for both full-time and part-time employees

    Cons

hard to move from part-time to full-time hours. Outside of the holiday season they never seem to have enough hours for the people requesting hours but can still seem to hire new people. Not enough room for advancement for good workers unless you have enough connections and hang out with management outside of work. Really long closing shifts (but you can get more hours that way) ridiculous panty standards.

    Advice to Management

Corporate making the decisions for brand standards needs to actually come to local high and low volume stores and implement them themselves first to see how unreasonable some of their requests are when the store is trashed and there aren't enough employees to maintain cleanliness during the day. They also need to have less floorsets and moves in between product launches for PINK. The constant moves are really hard to...

I have been working at L Brands part-time for less than a year

    Pros

•good experience working within a big store •learn what it’s like to work with many different managers and little communication

    Cons

•management is always a little lost, and not accommodating unless they like you •though a big company, there isn’t very much opportunity to grow •going from part time to full time is a slim to none chance as the amount of employees searching for hours is immense, but they’re always hiring •little communication throughout team on daily expectations, what you should be getting done, etc •management manages the customers,...

    Advice to Management

Ensure you’re hiring managers that are committed to a good customer and employee report. They’re so focused on sales, that if you aren’t performing well at something, they don’t coach you to improve, they just stop you from doing it and reduce hours. If they thought of their employees more like a team rather than a machine, their results would turn out better and their employees would be better prepared for work. Training...
