Pros

Development: They take development very serious. Starting out, you will most weekly have a “Touchbase” with you supervisor/manager to discuss your development. You are encouraged provide to feedback all around. Work environment: The work atmosphere is fairly laid-back and casual. It’s not a high operation tempo atmosphere like you find at say Amazon. Hours: This can go both ways as a pro/con, but the bottom line is, expect to you work work 50 hours a week as a salaried employee. Most of the DC’s have the weekends off and at my particular DC we only had two shifts. In peak season expect to work long hours and potentially Saturdays. Vacation: You get 19 PTO days a year, which are pro-rated depending on when you are hired. Treatment of associates: They treat their associates well by offering peak pay increases, giveaways, good working conditions, and try to accommodate associate’s schedules as best they can.

Cons

Bureaucracy: while you are going to find bureaucracy in any work environment, I found LBrands to be a bit extreme. In short, It is an extremely fake environment. It was a rare occasion that I found myself having a genuine conversation in meetings our with leadership. You are also constantly being evaluated and your peers won’t hesitate sell you out or throw you under the bus. High Turnover: During your interview I encourage you to inquire about their turnover rate and root causes. I was their for about a year and the turn rate was roughly 50% for leadership positions. Limited growth: If you get hired as a supervisor they next step is an operations manager. It’s a slow process. Typically, 3-5 years to get to manager and after you become an ops manager, becoming a senior manager is extremely difficult. There are only senior managers for the whole enterprise. Pay: its not great, but its not bad either. I think for the expectation of Supervisor’s in combination of hours a salary increase is will overdue definitely now with other competitors in the area such as Amazon. Also, they don't offer any bonus incentives. Work/Life Balance: Most likely if you don't have any prior experience you will start on 2nd shift, and work your way to 1st shift. My shift started at 3:00 PM but the expectation was to be their at least an hour before your shift, and often times earlier. If you are single 2nd shift may not be as much of an issue, but those with families, it can be challenging. Loyalty to employees: Their were a lot of questionable situations during my time at L Brands. Their was a a lot of outside hiring instead of promoting internally as well as hiring Supervisor's directly on to 1st shift instead of moving Supervisor's from 2nd to 1st shift.

Great team members, great management, great discount for both full-time and part-time employees

Cons

hard to move from part-time to full-time hours. Outside of the holiday season they never seem to have enough hours for the people requesting hours but can still seem to hire new people. Not enough room for advancement for good workers unless you have enough connections and hang out with management outside of work. Really long closing shifts (but you can get more hours that way) ridiculous panty standards.
