Fish that have already made it onto the buyside - honest thoughts on LEK? We do a ton of CDD, VDD, growth strategy, etc. and just curious how we are perceived. Thanks in advance!

A large variety of cases. Some exposure to private equity if that is your thing Reasonable salary although not for the hours

Long long hours and working day finishes at 7pm earliest Associates receive little thanks and generally are not respected Pay per hour is weak Management only care about themselves (currently a pay freeze and no bonus below management level) L.E.K. is proud to say that they have never fired anyone due to a recession, but the truth is ppl are pushed all the time. The are forced to quit so that L.E.K. can keep its 'no firing' policy Most people here do not like their job and are looking for an exit

    - English based environment - Low travel compared to other consulting firms - Well located office (between two stations) - Good at Life Sciences / Pharma

Many, many things could be improved at the office. Other reviews of the office accurately describe the major issues, including: - Ineffective and petty HR function that provides no check on office behavior - Low salary compared to industry - Four year track to post-MBA level, slower than industry standards - Toxic culture with high turnover of junior employees (esp. recent years) Highly recommend pursuing other opportunities than LEK Tokyo.
