I have been working at L'Occitane full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Treated with respect. Not micro-managed - trusted. The products undeniably amazing. Customers are the best. Loyal to the brand. Decent pay. Challenging but fun. I can't say enough about how much I enjoy working for L'Occitane.

    Cons

The only downside as a manager is finding and retaining excellent part time Beauty Advisors. They love the job, but often pursue other full time interests.

    Advice to Management

Keep on being smart and caring! No company is perfect, but I appreciate the intention behind all that you do. Thank you!

I have been working at L'Occitane part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Doesn't pay bad, nice co workers, fun environment, and doesn't have commission..which I like, because the co workers help each other, and nobody gets in fights or tries to steal each other's clients, because of that I find that we have a really friendly/professional type of environment.

    Cons

We have goals to sell certain products, its too forceful and makes all the clients uncomfortable and scared to come back.

I get the goals, but every few months, we have a different focus on a certain product, that we have to sell. The problem with that is, everyone wants to sell the product at all costs.

Alot of times the costumers specifically say they DONT want the product or whatever, that they just wants what they came in to buy, and we (the employers) end up making them feel unconfortable and annoyed because we have to follow up with the instructions we are given.

    Advice to Management

Work on selling the "focus products" by offering it once and giving a brief explanation, without forcing and accepting no for an answer.

    Pros

I love working for L'Occitane in the Greater Washington area. I have grown immensely from their investment in my talent both professionally and personally. At work I have learned to be a leader before a manager through effective team accountability and delegation. I am trusting more every day. I work for people who inspire me to be more successful than I knew possible, and I know my staff feels the same way about me. It's amazing to see the openness and respect in and out of my store throughout the lives who I am able to touch from each associate to every customer. I am very grateful to work for this company and in this district. If you don't consider retail employment here, you are seriously missing out.

    Cons

I am required to put 5 words here but I honestly had no cons. I have been taught to see the positivity in every lesson from the senior management in this company.
