I have been working at L3 Technologies full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Current location where I work is filled with a lot of caring people that are dedicated to their jobs.

    Cons

Dealing with division HQ is a nightmare. The policies/procedures rarely benefit my location and often make things much harder for us. Senior management seems to care very little about this site as we're very small. There is a serious lack of infrastructure and policy which makes it very difficult to determine the right course of action. Very much an attitude of "my way is the best way".

I worked at L3 Technologies full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

High pay for a low cost of living area, good benefits, lots of paid time off and holidays.

    Cons

Extreme favoritism "between management buddies and employee buddies". NO RECOGNITION of talent and abilities - shut up and color. Very poor pay raises, & Management makes you feel guilty about asking for pay raises. Upward advancement and improving your position within the company is strongly discouraged. Very little opportunity to prove your worth, and when you do it isn't appreciated.

    Advice to Management

Stop treating employees like puppets. Ask, and then value, their opinions. Stop with all the lies and politics. Take responsibility for your own shortcomings and quit blaming your employees. Trim off the dead weight employees which bring morale down... and stop making the A+ plus employees work twice as hard to make up for the deficiencies of the D- employees that you refuse to fire.

    Cons

Sweat shop work environment, military-like culture and organization.

    Advice to Management

Revise your bonus plan to include all employees in the company giving them a financial incentive to drive company performance. Publish the bonus plan in a clear, easy to understand way.

Former Contractor - Anonymous Contractor in Londonderry, NH

I worked at L3 Technologies as a contractor

    Pros

Wages were good to bring home.

    Cons

Company trained by shadowing resposibilities. Those I perform I comprehend better. I was trained then let go before able to perform on my own after training. Does not give opportunity to prove what was learned. Do not waste your time unless u do not want to be hired. Also should have listened to other personal recruiter's professionally "silent" opinoins about L3 when I told them id been hired as a contractor. Their reason for remaining professional and silent makes sense now.

    Advice to Management

Be patient. U won't hire someone outside that knows everything straight off. Good luck. Signed double digits.
