I have been working at L3 Technologies full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Nice working environment especially the people
Flex hours and good benefits, 9/80 hours, with off Friday

    Cons

Some of the down side note bonus, used to have holiday party but now cut back, more concerned about Share holders bottom line not the people...

    Advice to Management

Don't be too concerned about Share holders bottom line, if the employees not happy there would be no bottom line.

    Pros

No set time to come in just make sure there during meeting hours and make sure your work gets done.

    Cons

No bonuses, no incentives, no morale... old old outdated software tools.....

I have been working at L3 Technologies full-time

    Pros

Pay is competitive for the area but falls short of many companies of this size.

    Cons

Unprofessional and pessimistic work environment. Not much room for growth for mid career professionals. People are here because they need a good paying job and are stuck.

    Advice to Management

Hire well rounded, forward thinking employees with character and not simply on skill set. The unprofessional, low morale, and experienced workforce is creating an enovirment that is not inviting to the young, eager and energetic employees.

I worked at L3 Technologies full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Steady pay increases and reasonable benefits are offered to employees. My experience was with L-3/MID in Greenville, TX. I cant really speak to what other divisions of L-3 are like.

    Cons

I started in 2003, and watched employee benefits be reduced, removed, or replaced by less effective benefits. Case in point, employee stock purchase plan, L-3 continually revised the rules to eliminate the amount of benefit the employee could get from the plan to a point where it was really like just buying stock on the stock market.

    Advice to Management

Go back to the values that made working at L-3 enjoyable. Believe in your employees, they are what makes the company continue to be a fortune 100 company.

I have been working at L3 Technologies full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Salary is high when compared across the aviation industry.

    Cons

Lots of turnover on the upper management side causing lots of turmoil in the lower ranks. This has caused a mass exodus of great engineers to leave.

    Advice to Management

People are noticing the future of this site looks very bleak. Moral is at an all time low. Something needs to change to bring this site back together.

    I worked at L3 Technologies full-time

    Pros

Coworkers, paid time off, benefits, gift matching

    Cons

Management micro managing, looking to write you up for going to bathroom too often or taking a break twice a day

    Advice to Management

Let employees do their job, you trusted they were capable when you hired the employees. Give them space to prove their competence.

    Pros

Each division is it's own entity, so you get the feel of a smaller company with the benefits of a larger company. Most of the employees are good, nice, smart people, several former military.

    Cons

Because each division is small-ish, there was not a lot of room for growth.

Friends and family plan, was a lot of nepotism but management caught on and cleaned house.
