Pros

Interesting work, solid benefits, and a decent work-life balance

Cons

Work is interesting, but the pay is a little less compared to other tech firms. Leadership is continuously transitioning as the company grows, which could have been more transparent.

Pros

In my almost 5 years with the company I found plenty of things to love about it: the culture, the people, the pay. Just about everything about working here is a pro when it comes down to it. I learned a lot from a lot of really great, really talented people who wanted to see me succeed. I owe a lot of where I am in my career today to the time I spent working here.

Cons

It was a bit of a rocky start but I’m glad I stuck things out because working here ended up being a real turning point for my career in the best way possible

Pros

The simplest, most obvious answer is never going to be the one you offer up to your team when you work here. You’ll learn very quickly that thinking outside of the box is going to become your new normal, so much so that the box won’t even exist anymore. You’ll be encouraged by everyone from your coworkers, all the way up to management to be more creative than you ever could have imagined at a job, and it’s just as amazing as it sounds.

Cons

Expect to be very busy from the moment you get into work to the moment before you leave. There’s always something to do here, and you’ve got to be ready to get it done.

It was easy for me to fit in from the day I started, I learned a lot, and eventually parted way on excellent terms.

I noticed that managers at some of the branches had somewhat of an “old school” mentality which wasn’t exactly my cup of tea.

The nature of the work was extremely time sensitive, which is true of most work at this level, so it’s not a notable criticism. I just didn’t know what else to put here.

The work environment is motivating, and hard work doesn’t go unnoticed.

The company is still working to be in tandem with the rest of the industry in some respects. Can’t be too hard on them because they’re clearly trying, however it is a point that needed to be addressed.

L3 treats its employees well: good compensation, healthy culture, fascinating technology you won’t find anywhere else, positive impact on the world. If you want to work on something else, they will try to help you find a spot in the company. The work-life balance is outstanding, and our team has great hours. L3 trusts employees to get the job done (given how interesting the work is, that’s pretty easy to do). Great job security, since L3 is a leader in its field. A perfect example of how they operate and really care.

Cons

I plan to work for L3 as long as I can. So, no cons for me!

They don’t cut corners and they don’t try to get as much out of their employees as they can every second of every day.

My work weeks were only 3 days long when I worked there. God I miss that.

Managers were too hands on. It wasn’t my cup of tea.

Although it may take a few years to build up a strong foundation for a career, once acquired there is the potential for very fulfilling and rewarding work. Also, very flexible work schedule.

Cons

Primarily early in career or the first couple years might not be working on the best jobs as they require some experience and specific skill sets that can take time to develop.
