I have been working at LAN Associates (Less than a year)
LAN will try to help you out get as many hours as possible. Most of weeks you will get overtime. Some of the office work is easy and interesting. When working with some of their clients (companies that hire LAN) you will be able to charge for driving time and mileage.
They will also give you advice on how to satisfy their clients.
Working with some clients will give you chance to get to know their leadership and maybe get a job offer so you can leave LAN.
LAN is relaxed about taking vacation time.
They let you take company vehicle, occasionally give you gift cards and buy you lunch.
LAN is staffing company, which means that they don't make anything. Their entire work deepens on other companies. So if you work for LAN you are at the mercy of other companies that LAN assign you to. Once those companies don't need you anymore, LAN will fire you as well. Most of their work is field work that other companies employees don't wanna do, so they hire LAN guys. The field work sucks, you will be exposed to: heat, bugs, snakes, swamps and mud. It is not really type of job that would provide you with valuable experiences. So once you start working for LAN, you will find it hard to get job anywhere else.
They take care of their employees first and foremost.
Small, so you must get along with co-workers, or else days will be long, and also lack of communication will effect job collaboration.
Good experience for summer time between school years.
Not enough exposure to big projects.

Ok to work at LAN
Issues with my direct manager
Great family environment, and easy going.
Compensation not on par. Benefits can be better.
Good mid-level managers
Excellent Helpdesk available to clients and staff
About industry average compensation
Working with legal clients is usually a professional environment
Management ultimately means the decision of one ADD individual
Long hours expected, often overnight for upgrades
Toxic work environment which somehow achieves some success in spite of itself
Advice to Management
Realize that somehow you have gathered a talented group of people who remain in spite of the incredible lack of professionalism at the top. Treat them right before they find better gigs elsewhere.
