I worked at LCG full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Small company makes it easy to speak to higher ups, HR, etc. as needed. They acknowledge and reward hard workers, to a degree. Plenty of room for growth for those who take the time and effort to go above and beyond. There's a lot of really smart and motivated people within the company to learn from.

    Cons

False promises around raises happened more than once. Because most employees work directly on contract sites, you may never see anyone from the company outside of your team, outside of town halls. If your client has a bad culture, you will experience that culture more than the LCG culture, simply due to proximity.

    Advice to Management

In the time I was there, there was a lot of different initiatives. Focus the roadmap and don't keep changing paths every year or so.

I worked at LCG full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Excellent benefits - wide assortment. The company staff is very professional.

    Cons

Executive shake ups happen at least once every 5 years. It doesn't affect the rank and file contractors much, but it is a little unsettling. Though the company desires to grow, the head count remains rather stagnant for all the years I was there.

    Advice to Management

Happy customers and happy contractors will equate to a growing company.

    Pros

Once you learn the LCG culture it can be an easy place to work. If you're not on contract site, people generally arrive at work at 10am and leave by 5pm, and try to accomplish all their work during the week so the weekend is free.

    Cons

Power struggles among senior management slows down progress company could make. Recruiting is inept and unprofessional.COO position is replaced too often for company to have real stability. The CEO is rarely around. Long time employees complain of lack of career advancement, but advancement is really based on who senior management has the best rapport with, not ability.

    Advice to Management

Invest in professionals to complete the task. The recruiter is hurting the company image.

    Pros

    -Friendly co-workers.
    -Good clients.
    -Good benefits.
    -Employee recognition program.
    -Government holidays.
    -Paid Time Off

    Cons

-Low compensation with generally very low percentage increase.
    -New COO policy.
-Changes in benefits with new COO.

    Advice to Management

Call with COO does not work if employee cannot trust management. Reason lot of people are leaving. There must be something wrong with policy/management behind this.

    I worked at LCG full-time

    Pros

Extremely nice staff. Lots of down time, perfect for looking for full-time jobs which is not discouraged by management.

    Cons

Too much down time. There can be stretches of days with no work, depending on when you start your temp assignment. Also pay at $12/hr is a bit low.

    Advice to Management

Perhaps higher less temps and increase hourly pay.

I have been working at LCG full-time

    Pros

Opportunity to work for great clients. Company medical benefits. Diversity. Salary. Teams usually stick together although happening less with new management.

    Cons

New COO. What use to be a great company has drastically turned. Now only concerned with profits. Employee satisfaction has noticeably gone down in the past year. New management is untrustworthy.

Working overtime is expected with no recognition or compensation.
I now have to give the CEO a poor rating since he has allowed the COO to diminish employee happiness.

    Advice to Management

Don't forget your company is your employees. Telling everyone in the company he/she is replaceable and probably with someone better shows the lack of commitment to employees from new COO. Making false promises and telling employees what they think they want to hear is not what LCG was before.

Some of the best tenured employees have left in the past year; this should be a wake up for the CEO. I expect more to follow.

I have been working at LCG full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Executives and Corporate Staff are committed to employees, and employees are committed to the company in return. Excellent benefits. Pay is reviewed annually for performance and benchmarking. Employees are often promoted within.

    Cons

Extended work hours are sometimes expected depending on projects and workload.

    Advice to Management

Management should continue to consider employees when making decisions.

    Pros

Great benefits package, and various training programs offered. A huge plus was the ability to work remotely.

    Cons

Due to being a contractor working at client site, there wasn't much communication between managers and employees of LCG.

    Advice to Management

I advise management to visit client sites more often, to close the communication gap, as this can lead to loss of contracts.
