      Pros

Vibrant and welcoming office space, just like the people. Fantastic team of people who are genuine and full of heart. They are supportive and understanding of work life balance. Provide opportunity to grow and learn more through sharing personal knowledge and "lunch & learn" events. More importantly, you can feel empowered to take a task and run with it with guidance of your manager. You can always hear some corner...

      Advice to Management

not personally, but what i have been told is more training for managers to guide their team.

I have been working at LEWIS Global Communications full-time

      Pros

LEWIS is a great place to work these days. The agency has gone through some changes over the past year, and while change is never easy, it's all for the better. Poor performers and bad attitudes have been replaced by top notch talent. The US leadership team has had a complete overhaul over the past year and we now have dedicated, smart leaders who truly care about the people and the agency and actually know what they...

      Cons

Getting new hires in can take a long time, but I understand that's because we want to find the right people. I would also like to see more communication on where we are heading.

      Advice to Management

Keep hiring awesome people, get more seasoned recruiters, communicate more about where we are as a business and keep doing what you're doing!

      - It’s fast paced and the standards are high. If you’re looking for an easy ride, look elsewhere!

      Advice to Management

      - Continue to make the right decisions to make sure we have the best team of people in the business - A more rigid training schedule would be good

I have been working at LEWIS Global Communications full-time for more than 3 years

      Pros

      - Passionate people wanting to make a difference at this agency - A big focus on employees and their engagement and well-being - Many opportunities to learn as much as you'd like - open and warm environment - Line managers genuinely care about their team members progressing and doing well

      Cons

      - There are a lot of things the agency is trying to do at the same time, sometimes at the detriment of quality. It should focus more on it's core priorities.

      Advice to Management

Keep it up! Focus on doing things well, this agency is a great place to work.

I worked at LEWIS Global Communications full-time for less than a year

      Pros

      - There are some incredible people who work at LEWIS, are smart, want to make changes, and have huge hearts. - Great place to start your career, you can learn a ton- especially to firm up your organizational skills, presentations, writing, and professionalism. - If you're good, you can move up the ranks fairly quickly. Looks great on a resume. - Very generous WFH/PTO. At LEWIS you'll work hard but time-off is encouraged....

      Cons

      - Lack of teaching/continuing education. As mentioned, LEWIS is a great place to start your career- but you can only learn so much before you hit a dead end. The longer you work at LEWIS, the busier you'll be, and the less opportunities there will be to teach or learn new things. Onboarding is also not formalized and sometimes nonexistent for new joiners. Senior leadership is too busy with account management, financial...

      Advice to Management

Focus on your internal team. Stop cancelling internals and 1-on-1's, start teaching and actually managing employees. Be transparent about turnover and career growth. Stop prioritizing clients over the internal team every time. Invest more in HR, hire another recruiter. See employees as long term investments, not temporary worker-bees.

I worked at LEWIS Global Communications full-time for more than 3 years

      Pros

Benefits are decent. There are some smart people, but those numbers are dwindling rapidly.

      Cons

There’s almost no training for junior and mid-level staff. This results in overly heavy workloads as people try to figure out what to do and how to do it. As a result, client performance is not nearly what it could be as experienced resources are stretched way too thin and understaffing of accounts is commonplace. I’ve never seen so much turnover within a company. People come and go at crazy rates. This causes client...

      Advice to Management

Treat your staff like they are valuable assets not like they are less than a number to you. And please stop with all the promises of things to come. It’s clear this is nothing but lip service.

I worked at LEWIS Global Communications full-time for more than 3 years

      Pros

A variety of quite interesting clients, terrific mentors and amazing teammates. My manager was one of the best I have ever worked with during my career, and am grateful to have had the opportunity to work with this person. Very well-organized social events both in the office and offsite. Nice office in a highly convenient location right off of 128.

      Cons

I didn't learn as much as I would have liked. Some of the people in charge had their favorite employees, and you weren't one of them, it was difficult to advance your career. Moving on was the only choice.

      Advice to Management

Treat all your employees as you would want to treated yourself.

I worked at LEWIS Global Communications full-time for more than 3 years

      Pros

Junior employees are exposed to pretty high-level work and strategy, a great boost if you're early in your career. Pretty good benefits, especially for an agency.

      Cons

Watched the acquisition of a successful digital marketing agency turn into a complete dumpster fire. Upper management continuously makes poor decisions based on spreadsheet numbers in lieu of actually evaluating the office's needs. Requests for desperately needed new hires or tools/subscriptions are denied in order to pinch pennies on budgets. Senior leadership has no contingency plans, is not willing to invest in its...

      Advice to Management

Listen to department heads and provide according to their needs. Absentee leadership isn't working. get someone who knows what they're doing in the office. Don't penalize successful departments due to other departments' struggles on the balance sheet. Invest in your workforce, and apply some of Chris Lewis's vision of investment and growth. He sure talks about it a lot but other leadership wont let it happen.

I worked at LEWIS Global Communications full-time for more than a year

      Pros

Nothing really that positive. Cool, new location. Decent people and clients.

      Cons

US leadership isn't engaged with clients or teams, probably because of their "lack of expertise" in media relations, digital strategy and overall general business acumen. All they do is take orders from the CEO who really has no clue whatsoever what's going on in the US. All office heads have left or were pushed out in the last 6 months. Clients are dropping like flies. The culture is a gossip-fest and almost all...

      Advice to Management

REVAMP US leadership, again. Invest in leaders that put employee first and politics second. Make sure they know the basics of communications, are good in a room, have a network, all of that. Stop hiring random people off the street, thinking they wil magically turn the business around.
