    Pros

One of the best benefits packages in the industry, competitive salary, great approach to corporate ethics, the highest product quality in the business, and room for real innovation.

    Cons

The language barrier, and the time-zone difference with leadership at the Korean headquarters

I worked at LG Electronics USA full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Excellent benefits. That's it.

    Cons

LG buys market share. There is no strategy whatsoever. They are a discounter, Plain and simple. Reporting is archaic, HR is incompetent, leadership refuses to try anything new other than run costly promotions at point of sale. Finally, forget about career advancement, you will have a new boss every two years.

    Advice to Management

Your products, with few exceptions, are best in class. Start talking about your customers and the consumer instead of constantly reviewing spreadsheet upon spreadsheet. And for goodness sake, set attainable targets. You might be shocked that people actually try to over-achieve (which could drive the top line revenue you so very much desire.

    Cons

    - No work/ life balance, team in Korea will call you at after midnight
    - If you are a local hired Korean, everything is unfair compared with expats
    - Expats from Korea, their language skill SUCKS. I can't believe how HQ think these expats can communicate with local customer in US
    - No carrier path, management level is filled with EXPATS

    Advice to Management

I worked at LG Electronics USA full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

No good reasons to work here

    Cons

Management is terrible. The HR department has a high turnover rate. In the past year I’ve been there 20 people in HR have either left or been fired. Even the VP of HR left the company . I don’t recommend working at this company.

    Advice to Management

Get new management that isn’t only Asian.

I have been working at LG Electronics USA full-time

    Pros

    All paid health benefit
    Business casual dress code
    Good work-life balance
    Good self-development opportunities

    Cons

Very poorly run HR Dept since new VP last year.
Not much advancement opportunities since most of the supervisors want to keep their position instead of getting the promotions.
    Pay is a bit lower
Company's CEO and CFO are appointed from Korea and they are rotating position every 2-3 years.

    Advice to Management

Reduce employees from S. Korea. It is very discouraging employees from the US since very few have senior management title.
Have and share some long term goals even though CEO and CFO are not going to be there.
    Communicate better with non-management employees
    Be independent of Korea HQ.
