    Pros

    No positives in working here

    Cons

Would not recommend anyone work at LG Mobile. Worst place I've ever worked for. Management is abusive and office is old, dirty and unclean.

I worked at LG Mobile Phones full-time

    Pros

    - Decent Benefits
    - Discounted lunch ($3.50 for either Korean food or American food)
    - Lots of time for self-improvement

    Cons

    - Low pay compared to the market average
    - Strictly top down management; your responsibilities might drastically change depending on the top executives' decisions
    - Very limited opportunities; there is no opportunity for you to expand your job scopes.
    - Very unstable; reorganization of the company happens very often, so your team and your career might change very often.
    - Korean-like culture; hiring-managers prefer to hire Korean people because they don't usually want to communicate in English. Therefore, the hiring pool is very small for them, and thus end up only hiring Korean people who should not even qualify for the position.

    Advice to Management

Top executives and managers really need to show transparency. They need to communicate actively with the employees. This is 2017. Top-down management doesn't work in the fast-paced environment anymore. Listen to the employees and act on it, or at least give employees the reasons why they are wrong.

I worked at LG Mobile Phones full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Nothing I can think of.
Maybe outsiders think it is a good company cause of well known company.
    That is pretty much it!

    Cons

Discrimination depends on your title. There is no such thing as good management in this company.
They only take advantage of real hard working people.
Never care about their employees. The company thinks every single employee can be disposable.
THE WORST COMPANY IN THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE!!!!!!!!!!

    Advice to Management

Respect hard working employees and compensate properly!!!

    Cons

Long work hours → Zero work-life balance.

Korea based company which portrays reverse discrimination towards Koreans.

I have been working at LG Mobile Phones (More than a year)

    Pros

You get to work a significant amount of overtime and make however many hours you are willing to put in

    Cons

The company does not care about your personal life. Company constantly asks to stay late hours and weekends, and even holidays at times. Work done at the company is reiterative and very inefficient. Company hierarchy is very strict as most upper management are ex-pats from Korea.
Career growth is non-existent almost without a significant amount of time before a promotion.

    Pros

Great opportunity for growth if you get in the right department.

    Cons

The top executives rotate in from Korea every 3 to 4 years, so there is never long term goals for the company. They are only interested in their own success.
Sometimes important meeting will start out in English and then convert the Korean. Very unproductive for non-Korean speaking employees. At one time they said they were going to conduct all meeting in english but they never followed though.

    Advice to Management

In order to be truly successful you must seek market information from local individuals/resources. You have created a gap between your Korean - non-Korean employees which will limit your future success. You treat your top executive better than you treat your customers and they notice it.
