Not a place to advance your career.
May 30, 2022 - Clinic Support SpecialistRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Local, smaller hospital with some ability to work from home.
Cons
HR will not offer a raise based on skill, time or achievement. Expect the ‘standard’ 3% and feel lucky for it. The annual bonus is held as a threat above your head every year with expectations that the staff cannot achieve. If you take their offer to get your MA license you WILL be expected to take a pay cut. Front Desk Staff are paid significantly more than MAs, and if you keep your CSS pay and work as a MA, you are told to keep it secret from the other staff. If you take on work above and beyond a MA or CSS, you will not be compensated for it. These are revolving door positions because the work far outweighs the pay.

Constant Lies from TRC and LMH leadership
Oct 2, 2022 - Behavioral Health Specialist in Lawrence, KSRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Decent pay and benefits. Not much else.
Cons
It's clear a lot of the Emergency Room staff do not have the ability to obtain employment elsewhere. If you care about patient outcomes this isn't the place to be. LKPD treats it like the drunk tank at the jail. TRC Leadership is FUBAR.

Does not care about the employees
Jun 24, 2022 - Medical AssistantRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Coworkers. Health insurance. The patients.
Cons
The CEO and Board of Trustees have ran this organization into the dirt. They are consistently developing new upper management positions. They do not give raises aside from a 2-3% cost of living raise. New hires get sign on bonuses, current employees get a $3 gift card. Upper management does not listen to nursing staff on how to improve moral, lower turnover rates, ultimately improving patient care.
