I have been working at LOGICnow for more than 3 years

    Pros

The company is making money so not likely to go bust anytime soon Decent working environment good offices and fun bunch of guys to work with If you dont want to think and want to build a career with brown-nosing management then this is where to be

    Cons

Complete and utter chaos, no one knows what is going on, no one seems to be in charge, the week seems to go from crisis to crisis - much of that seems made up to give senior management "problems to fix" The fired the entire leads team - the only bit of the business that seemed to be working, and sales leads have collapsed.. good job management :-( CEO struts about - shouting "I love my job", feels more like he is trying to convince himself - no one - not even him - could love this.

    Pros

Most of your coworkers are pretty good. If you're located in one of the United States offices you are untouchable and you can do no wrong and will happily write reviews on Glass Door at the behest of HR telling everyone how it's not that bad. Free snacks (even if the CEO is complaining about this now). Free coffee. Some places have a game room.

    Cons

Where do I start? It's just a joke reading the other reviews on here - just about every positive review comes from the US. I couldn't help but laugh at one of the other reviews, to quote one "We had a big Marketing department restructure last year and there were a few redundancies." No, what you had was a person in the marketing staff using the restructure as a chance to purge everyone they didn't like from the staff. This includes long time employees and people who had put a lot of sweat into this company. All for someone's personal vendetta. Oh yeah, and this is the same person that EVERY OTHER REVIEW on here mentions. Oh yeah, and here's the other thing. All the senior management care right now about is selling the company. This isn't a secret. Most of the senior management and many mid level managers all have shares. So they will lie, cheat, steal and do anything they can to keep their job until the company is sold and they can cash in. You're not going to get shares by writing positive reviews on Glass Door, so, in the end you're going to be as screwed as everyone else when the company is sold and they decide to move it elsewhere. Have fun.

    Pros

If you're lucky enough to be on the data sciences team or in the Boulder office, you will walk on rainbows and have puppy dogs delivered to your desk. You will think there's nothing wrong with this company and will happily follow instructions from your companies HR department to write puff filled reviews on company review sites.

    Cons

This place became an absolute nightmare overnight. For many of the reasons given in the other reviews. You'd think that in a department like Engineering people would be promoted for doing things like, oh, you know, doing a good job. But no, the nepotism in Engineering is just as rampant as it is through the rest of the company. The entire marketing department in the US office is composed of friends of the senior management. Speaking of marketing, there is an absolute manic running unchecked. For some reason the senior management lets this person get away with just about anything - physically threatening employees, rampant sexism, total ignorance and avoidance of company policies (not that the HR team would even care), and just general buffoonery. The entire team of senior management are clowns with no leadership abilities whatsover. How about the CEO running through a room full of people he's just fired (or fired on the advice of others) yelling "I love my job!". That's the kind of class you can expect from LOGICnow or whatever they're calling it this month. All the management cares about right now is slapping as many new features into their flagship product so they can sell the company and go bathe in their dollars.

    Pros

If you're lucky enough to be one of the "chosen few" (ie: working in Cambridge, Boulder, Los Angeles) you won't be bothered and you'll think everything is fantastic. Free drinks. Most locations have a gameroom. If you can't get a job anywhere else (ie: you live in Dundee) or you're just starting out, it's as good as anywhere else. Just get out as soon as you can.

    Cons

I've been a developer here for a few years. Worked both in Dundee and Edinburgh. The place has quickly become a total joke. DevOps hasn't gotten quite as bad as Marketing, but it's along the same lines - clueless people promoted for no reason, senior management handing out jobs to their useless friends, etc. People are so fed up that they're walking off the job with nowhere to go just to get out of such a poisonous environment. Management is totally ineffective and cannot communicate to save their lives. For example when they had a mass lay off, we weren't told anything. Good move, guys. There's lots of money floating around for them to buy other companies or hire more people in the US, but they hem and haw and make excuses if we ask for a new test server bed.

I have been working at LOGICnow full-time for more than a year

    Pros

For the most part, you'll be working with a good bunch of people. If you're not located in either Durham or Edinburgh, you'll be left alone to do your job for the most part. Free fruit, coffee and game room.

    Cons

There is one person in the Marketing department that is the problem. All the other negative reviews here? Mostly involve this person. Positive reviews? Mostly from places that don't have to deal with this person. For some unknown reason, this person enjoys the largess of Senior Management. Specific examples of what they've been able to get away with - physically assaulting employees/contractors, sexual discrimination (asking women to schedule meetings/get tea), talking about EVERYONE - and I mean EVERYONE - behind their back, assisting in a purge that cleared out all of their enemies - regardless of the employee's actual capabilities, multiple instances of outright lies, picking their nose in the middle of the office, intimidation, threats, the list goes on and on and on..... The most unprofessional, unpleasant and sneaky person I've ever worked with in my life and - as you can see from the other reviews - I'm not the only person saying this.

I have been working at LOGICnow full-time for less than a year

    Pros

If you are one of those persons who sometimes gets too comfortable in your role LogicNow will keep you on your toes fearing for your job.

    Cons

This place...what a roller coaster of an experience to witness. The best thing from this place is learning what not to do and how not to treat people because, unless you are senior management defrauding the company for your own benefit then you will be treated like crap, never get a say and end up getting the boot. I have watched some really talented people let go recently...REALLY talented people who I watched pour their heart and soul into the company over the last year and genuinely make the place look good to the outside world through their marketing skills. But with their departing has shown the true light of what it's like to work here. I know a few of these ppl seemed uncomfortable with how senior management were doing things not in the company's benefit and spoke out about it only to be let go in a 're-structure', whilst those they complained about are promoted. The CEO is likely still oblivious to this, instead choosing to probably roll around naked in a bath tub covered in his own money... Because every time I've met the guy this is all he seemed to be able to talk about. HR seemed to have forgotten their place (to look after their employees)... and knowing that HR will read this you should be ashamed of the work you have done! Anywhere else YOU would have been let go for underperforming and not doing your job RIGHT. The positive reviews going up recently are a marketing ploy for idiots, made by those that have been told to make them within the company. Luckily most ppl aren't idiots like LogicNow seems to think and most should notice these easily.
