I worked at LOT Polish Airlines full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Access to cheap travel all over the world using employee's tickets.

    Cons

No strategy - every CEO change caused the strategy change. The CEO changes every year (average). No respect to experts' statements.

    Advice to Management

Create and keep the strategy for years. Do not change all key managers with the CEO change.

I worked at LOT Polish Airlines full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Access to company and other airlines tickets. Very good team in my office. Many friendly people. Business trips to many countries.

    Cons

No career path. No promotion for valuable staff. Times of number of available training has gone.

    Advice to Management

Be more airline business oriented. Promote and reward your good staff.

I have been working at LOT Polish Airlines full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

LOT is a great company to make you start your airline career. It is a relatively small entity that deals with all kind of challenges present in airline industry. Employees are expected to multitask which means that you will learn more than in other airlines. LOT has a team of passionate people who are eager to share their knowledge with others.

    Cons

It is a state owned company which means after some time you might get frustrated with the level of political influence. LOT does not meet international airlines' salary level even if cost life index is taken into account. No professional training is provided in general.

    Advice to Management

Stop micromanage and focus on hiring well-skilled people. Advice to political forces - sell LOT ASAP.

I have been working at LOT Polish Airlines full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Marvelous people with a great passion, really passionate, positively crazy about what they do, like to share their passion with others, like to teach about it, are proud of what they do and what they achieve.
Many many many great new products, great marketing, good CEO a real leader, very good speaker. Ground breaking LT service. Very nice HQ building with architectural details that make you know just by the look that here the aviation magic breeds.

    Cons

Non-existing newcomer welcome kit (newcomer needs to supply himself even with pen, notepad, trays etc.) that makes everyone shocked.
Many services are outsourced to other companies (fe. IT area to quite a few) that do not wish to cooperate with each other that fixing simple thing takes ages.
There are many employees that work there for 30 years who have a great knowledge but do not let this company to grow and reach new horizons that for them is too hard to comprehend.
Not easy to reach HQ with public transportation that makes everyday way to word quite hard and long.

    Advice to Management

Keep the Management as it is, do not go back to the previously done mistakes, otherwise we will sink.

I worked at LOT Polish Airlines full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

market of a lot of opportunities, a big number of specialists, who knows and understands this industry who works on lower levels

    Cons

senior management renewal every year or two, senior & middle management has no bloody idea about the air transport industry, so they are aware of doing any 'big step forward' and often they kill great ideas for growth as they are aware of anything. Instead they do a lot of things which make completely no sense. They would also 'kill' bright people, who bring good ideas.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your lower level employees, they know the industry and they could show you the way LOT could follow
